Then this is your book. I am so happy to see it is back in print. I have read this book at least three times. I used it twice in small group studies and it was a big hit. I was fortunate enough to take a theology class from David Needham. Much of this book captures the essence of that course. Needham has a love and longing for God and He has an original way to help us grasp the complexities of God and therefore know Him better. This book had a profound influence on my relationship with God. I encourage anyone to take this journey with Needham and be awakened to all that God is, always has been, and always will be.

This book is one of the most awesome books I have ever read. From the first page to the last page, David Needham and Larry Libby use personal stories to bring the reality of God's presence.

Much like Tozer's "Knowledge of the Holy," David Needham's "Close to His Majesty" is more than a dry, academic study of the attributes of God: these are books that inspire worship. Needham's writing style is clear, vivid and full of great word pictures and illustrations that help one to understand not only the nature of God, but how we then can relate to Him. "Close to His Majesty" is written using several one to two page chunks to make up a chapter. Each chunk is perfect for a daily devotional reading. In my case, we have been using a chunk per week to focus our thoughts on God during our Worship Team rehearsals. Just a great book!!

This book is high on the "wow factor" and loaded with spiritually enriching imagery. It presents an incredible picture of a personal and infinite God.

This is an excellent book. Well written and full thought provoking points. God used it to change me.
