5.0 out of 5 stars If you like this..., February 23, 2008
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
I agree with C. yonge that Closed Casket is one of ESHAM's best; however, I think a better supplement to c.c. is "KKKill the Fetus" or NATAS' (feat. ESHAM as the group's main vocalist) "doubelievengod," which, in terms of Acid Rap, are both equally as high caliber. Dead Flowerz is O.K., but certainly can't hold a candle to c.c., k.t.f and the aforementioned NATAS album. Personally, one of my favorite ESHAM songs is "Dyin 2 B Down," which is from his '92 (correct me if I'm wrong) album, Judgment Day Vol. 2 - Night -- it's pre-acid rap, raw, witty and has one of the sickest lines I've ever heard in rap - check it out for yourself (there's a you tube video). If you dig real rap (not that bs talkin' bout why I'm hot or how many benji's you're makin' for your record label) by real mo-fo's from the real ghetto (Detroit), then, by all means, give ESHAM a listen. It's unapologetically sordid and definitely the kind of stuff that would make your mama cry.

I think this is a good album if you are the kind of person who loves underground rap. One of the best in years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Esham at his peak, October 3, 2004
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
This album from start to finish is straight up fire. Arguably his best album, there are so many classic cuts here. The Wicketsh-t Will Never Die is one of the hardest first up songs ever, he lets u know he aint f%&kin round on here, then My Homie Got Shot and Mental Stress are 2 songs with INCREDIBLE beats, where he tears up the mic, then Chatty Ass Nigga and Slug Froma 45 are both classic, C.A.N features Natas. Therapy features his brother James "DEADBOY" Smith, and Make Me Wanna Holla and Would You Die 4 Me are 2 of my favorites, both awesome beats and awesome sampling. The 3rd verse in Would You Die 4 Me is one of my favorites on the album. 24/7 is another classic cut, top beat, great chorus and wicket lyrics, and Closed Casket has a wicket beat and Esham hits it the hardest here. Overall, this album of course is 5 stars, like many other Esham albums, but this one is one of the best Esham albums ever. Every Esham fan should own this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eshams darkest album to date, April 14, 2006
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
This is true music to slit your wrists to! haha jp
This album takes an acquired taste if you are easily offended from subjects of drug abuse, murder, rape, suicide, satan worship and the occult. Every taboo known to man is on this cd! I love it. I listened to the whole thing road tripping the other day and I was depressed the whole ride, it was bitter-sweet, its funny how an album can change your mood. Dark and grim, closed casket is a masterpeice

4.0 out of 5 stars Kkkill the Fetus, March 30, 2005
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
This album is great and Esham's use of poetry in Homie Got Shot/ Slug from a .45 is amazing but do not forget KKKill the Fetus. I'd say that album is top to bottom Esham's best but Closed Casket definately kicks ass. And for the entire underground versus mainstream arguments Esham has attended MTV music awards. Moreover, listen to the 2nd to last cut on Dre's Chronic 2001...The title may ring a bell with juggalos 'Anybody Killa'

5.0 out of 5 stars In my eyes Eshams Best Album, December 16, 2003
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
I got this album when i got hooked on esham. I own all esham Lp except the orginal words from hell. I think this is a great album. This album has great beats from samples. Cypress Hill vocals for the chrous on Closed Casket. Snoop dogg vocals on the chrous on Make Me Wanna Holla. One 24/7 he samples another song. I forgot the song where esham sampled it from. It is funny when i read this cd is out of stock because i always see it in arizona stores. I seen it going from 9.99 @zia records to 18.99 @tower records. I think this is the only esham album that i can listen to the whole cd without skipping a track. Since these cds are out stock. I should buy all the copies in arizona and keep them for my cd collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not his best album, September 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Closed Casket (Audio CD)
If you are looking for Esham c.d's that are better than his one. Good Luck they are all out of print. This does have some good songs but it doesn't compare to DeadFlowers and kkkill the fetus. Overall I say the Wicked sounds will never die!! Don't get me wrong this is a great album better than anything Puffy or Biggie puts out. If you like horror movies and rap you will like this. Take some time and look for the other albums though. I have them all if you want to e-mail me go ahead!
