About the Artist

Gigging since age 14 and a career musician all of his adult life, Jim’s been around the musical block. He’s got a comfortable, deep groove and a restless imagination. Smart and earthy, his songs tickle your brain while they move your heart. It’s a unique blend of humor, catchy melodies, unblinking observation of human frailty and compassion for his fellow travelers - not to mention monster guitar playing and vocals. A finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk songwriting competition in 2000, Jim has been winning over audiences everywhere.

The enitre family (from our 6 year old son up) loves Jim's CDs. His music is powerful and fun, and always creative. His fabulous, folksy melodies are a staple at our house.

The artist reminds me of James Taylor. One Mistake, Closer to the Surface, and Falling into it are fantastic. Can't wait to see the next release from Jim Bizer. Give this album a chance...you won't regret it!
