Great voice and singer!, January 22, 2004
This review is from: Closest Thing to Crazy (Audio CD)
If you like The Closest Thing to Crazy, (...) this one of the best cd's of the year in my opinion. If you like Norah Jones, you will for sure like this one and I reckon you will never take it off your CD player!

Jazzy Irish-American Lass punchs way above her age!, December 9, 2003
This review is from: Closest Thing to Crazy (Audio CD)
I dont normally review, I just ain't that kind of guy, I pay my taxes, go to work, buy a CD and chill.. .anything else is just a hassle! So why write a review? Because in short this album just demands attention in oh so many wonderful ways....
Take a much travelled teenager, give her Norah Jones-eque vocals with a splash of showtime and blues and you have something that really snarls, mellows and gracefully takes you along a wonderful journey!
Standout trackes like the gliding jazz laden "The closest thing to Crazy", the lead single I believe stand testimony that even a lazy-ass kind of guy like me can be stirred into doing his first review..!
Buy now folks and relax, Katie has you in safe hands.

Close but no cigar!, January 13, 2004
This review is from: Closest Thing to Crazy (Audio CD)
Listners will be more impressed to know that Katie is not Irish American... but in fact Georgian born ( as in former soviet republic) and Irish raised... Can't go wrong with a voice born from this beautiful country known for the gift of song and paired up with a Irish mentor of style combination.... truly gifted!
