4.0 out of 5 stars Useful organizer
Assembles in about 15 minutes using a hammer and screwdriver. Materials are decent for the price; could be a bit stronger. A pair of shoes fits in each slot (up to about size 12), if you put them in right -- just need to turn one shoe over and around so it fits together with its pair like like yin and yang. Makes it easy to have 15 pairs of shoes in a closet and just...

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't really do the trick
I bought this organizer for my 2 daughters shoes. The shoes are no more than a size toddler 11. I could barely fit them in. My daughter's size 9 rain boots didn't fit at all. The idea is a great little space saver but it doesn't really do the trick because the shoes really don't fit well inside each slot. Also the slots do not stay put. They keep sliding out of the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Description does not match product., March 14, 2011

The product description clearly states, "Measures 24 inches wide by 12 inches deep by 31 inches high." The actual product measures 24 inches wide by 12 inches deep by *19* inches high. I intended to use this as a 31" high shelf to hold a specific item in my closet. Other than that, it is as it is described.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoe organizer, February 17, 2010

This show organizer is easy to assemble - took about half an hour. Holds 15 pairs of shows, with room on top for a few more. No frills - just basic white. Probably best on the closet floor (where I have mine). Fits under the short hanging clothes like pants and skirts and tops, so makes good use of the space, Depending on the depth and height of your closet shelves you could put it on a shelf, but it is bit heavy and you'd need closets with lots of space between the shelves in height. It's working well for me and I'm very happy I bought it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, January 27, 2011

Assembly was pretty easy, no missing parts and it seems sturdy enough for everyday use.

I wear a women's size 8, and am able to fit all of my normal shoes in the cubby holes, including my four-inch stilettos. I can fit both sides of one pair in a single cubby hole, if I invert one of them so they are facing each other and are more compact. No, it will not fit my boots, but after reading other reviews I knew not to expect that. Overall I'm pleased with it, as it fits in my closet and organizes the majority of my shoes in a way that's easy for me to look through and access.

If you're on the fence, I'd say get it, just know that it will be storage for flip flops, flats, and heels vs. boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars does the job perfectly, July 22, 2011

I purchased an espresso cube to replace a shoe tree in my foyer. It is PERFECT. I will say that "espresso" may not be the correct color description. It's more like a reddish brown based black. If you are more than a couple feet away, it looks black. I'm not sure why people don't think it can hold 15 pairs of shoes. It does, easily. You have to put the shoes in the same way you would put them in a shoe box. I have heels, clogs, and sneakers in mine with no problems. I have a few hats sitting on top of it. Very convenient. Assembly was easy and took less than 15 minutes. I didn't see any manufacturing defects as I did the assembly. Would highly recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay but not great, January 13, 2011

Guess I shoulda read the other reviews before ordering... I have a lot of shoes and wanted to get organized. The pictures misrepresent the size of the cubbies on this product and so I bought three thinking that I could fit 45 pairs of shoes. Not so!!!

I put them all together before really checking them out so I'm not returning them because I kinda destroyed the boxes (and don't want to take them apart now anyway) but I could barely fit one shoe per cubby, which is even more odd since there's 15 cubbies per organizer (you'd think it would be even). They went together really easy but are pretty cheap and there was some defects from the manufacturer and some from wood splintering during assembly. They're just going in a closet for me so no big deal but I wouldn't use them anywhere where guests would see them and I definitely don't feel they're worth the money and would have gone a different direction had I been smart enough to put ONE together and check the sizing (or read the reviews).

Oh well, like I said, they'll do for me BUT another annoying thing is that since I thought I could put a PAIR of shoes in each cubby and ended up having to separate the shoes I tried to order another organizer to fit more shoes, and was not able to because there is a quantity limit!!! How annoying! Seriously wish I'd read the reviews and gone another way...

1.0 out of 5 stars Big disappointment, January 5, 2011
This product was not easy to put-together. It required a bit of strength to drive the screws into the wood. Many of the edges were chipped on arrival and there is no instruction on how to attach the cross-sectioned shelves to the back panel. The underside of the top of the unit is not laminated (That's why they don't show it in the picture! so make sure you will display it on a low level not on a table top). The worst problem for me is that whenever I move it, all the cross-sectioned shelves slip and slide off and I have to re-insert them. I don't recommend it, despite it's economical price, it's not worth it. I'm taking it back and wish I had not wasted time on it. Assembly instructions are included but I found them a bit confusing and hard to follow but maybe that's just me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what it seems, August 31, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was really disappointed in this thing. It only holds one shoe per slot and there is 15 slots, shoes come in pairs last time I checked...7.5 pairs? The pictures are VERY misleading. When you receive it you will notice that nowhere on the box does it even mention or show shoes in it. I bought this for shoes! The Title says "Shoe Organizer" I think Im gonna use it for movies or something else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the greatest, July 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ClosetMaid 15-Cubby Shoe Organizer, White (Kitchen)
This organizer does the job ... it has room to organize shoes, but it is not a very well made product. It was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. The holes for the screws did not line up, which caused cracking in the finish. I ended up putting it in a hidden spot, instead of my mud room , because of the damage.
