5.0 out of 5 stars something for most
Although mostly a fan of ToT's earlier works, I am very pleased with this live recording - not only are the digibook feature (two mpegs from the concert) nice, but most of the tracks are taken from the excellent albums 'Aegis' and 'Velvet Darkness They Fear'. However, there are also tracks here that will make fans of ToT's later material happy. :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a good mix
Too much of a contrast between the old on the new. ToT was a great band, but they're going too far into another direction that will not yield good results. The same techno thing happened to Danzig and Paradise Lost. The strained relationship between the members of ToT and Liv Kristine were obvious in the last few albums. She definitely was not feeling their new music...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Live Album, February 7, 2010

This is the live album for ToT and contains their old beauty and the beast gothic metal as well as some of their electropop songs. I found the quality of this CD to be great as I have heard live albums from other bands that were just terrible.

I recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of the era's of ToT, I listed above.

Too much of a contrast between the old on the new. ToT was a great band, but they're going too far into another direction that will not yield good results. The same techno thing happened to Danzig and Paradise Lost. The strained relationship between the members of ToT and Liv Kristine were obvious in the last few albums. She definitely was not feeling their new music as she's a devout metalhead. If you like old ToT, buy Liv's Leaves' Eyes album.

Getting back to Closure, the Aegis songs are great. The techno songs don't fit at all. I was like, "WTF?" And I'm open to that stuff. Der Tanz wasn't so great because they played the version that doesn't rock as much.

Overall, this was a bland live album and I'll be reselling it most likely.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for all, September 20, 2001
This review is from: Closure Live (Audio CD)
As a recent fan of TOT I have to caution against a long time fan blindly picking up this C.D. since this album is pretty close to being schizophrenic. Close to half the songs are from the amazing album Aegis, while it seems as if the other half are from TOT's later day descent into techno-pop hell (not there's anything wrong with that). If you are a fan of their earlier music, then simply continue to listen to Aegis or their earlier stuff, while if you are a fan of their later music, you might not want to have to listen to half of Aegis's songs. The point is, and I'm not trying to speak for all of TOT's fan, it just seems that there are not too many people out there who are fans of all of their albums, so if you aren't one of those few you might want to just stick with what you've already got.
