5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, even for little ones!
My 4.5 month old daughter LOVES these Roger Priddy cloth books. She has this one, and Fuzzy Bee and Friends (her all-time favorite). There's also a turtle one, a T-Rex one, a chick one and a Rudolph one. The pages have different textures (for instance, the walrus tusks are shiny white fake-leather, and the puffin has a satiny wing), and she's very into feeling things now...

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor book
Unlike the Fluffy Chick and Squishy Turtle books in the same collection, this book is made out a very light and cheap fabric. It definitely makes it less appealing. Also, the touch and feel things are mostly patches of different textures to touch only whereas the two other ones have also things to pull. The editor obviously saved money making a poorer book.

My 4.5 month old daughter LOVES these Roger Priddy cloth books. She has this one, and Fuzzy Bee and Friends (her all-time favorite). There's also a turtle one, a T-Rex one, a chick one and a Rudolph one. The pages have different textures (for instance, the walrus tusks are shiny white fake-leather, and the puffin has a satiny wing), and she's very into feeling things now. The cover has a crinkly filling, too, which most babies I know can spend several minutes playing with.

The verses on each page are rhyming, which is fun for mommy, and helps baby learn the patterns words can make.

They say the books are surface wash only, but I've thrown them in the washer and dryer and they come out just fine. Good as new! Which is great, because after it drops on the restaurant floor a time or two, I can't really watch her chew on it. :-)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not as good as Fuzzy Bee or Squishy Turtle, January 5, 2007

This review is from: Cloth Book Snowy Bear (Bath Book)
This is another excellent cloth book for babies and toddlers but it doesn't have as many things to pull on or that stick out (which is what most babies enjoy the most) as some of the other cloth books like Fuzzy Bee and Friends or Squishy Turtle and Friends. My son also loves Fluffy Chick and Friends as well. If I had to rank the cloth books in order they would be: 1) Fuzzy Bee, 2) Squishy Turtle, 3) Fluffy Chic, 4) Big Rex, and 5) Snowy Bear. If you don't have the first four, I would get them first and get this book last when you are bored of the others. It is still a good book, just not as good as the others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best baby book we have! You must get it!, January 20, 2006

I had been looking for a book to hold my 8 month-old's attention. The plain old board books didn't seem to do it. Enter the Roger Priddy books! This book is her absolute favorite - she can hold it because it bends and it's light, she loves to pat the various textures within the book, the cover is krinkly, she can put it in her mouth because it's a cloth book, and it's the perfect size. She reaches out for this book and prefers it over her whole basket full of toys! We also have Squishy Turtle, and are about to order the other 2 cloth books. If you love this book, also get Roger Priddy's books "baby touch and feel". We have Puppy Love and Zoo's Who and she loves them. They're just adorable and the best toy OR book purchase I've made yet.

My 3 month old is loving the Priddy books. Squishy turtle is brighter and seems to keep her attention better, but both are great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for little hands and mouths., August 19, 2009

My neice loves this book. She can easily grab it and crinkle the front page at 4 months old. She likes to suck on the book sometimes as well. It seems to entertain her very well. The different textures and the rhymes about the animals on each page are cute and I'm sure she'll love to sit and have them read to her once she's older.

My little 9 month old boy isn't as interested in these as I hoped he'd be, but he does like the colors and textures of the various animals. I imagine as he gets older he'll be more interested. I like the little 2-line rhyme that accompanies each animal; they kind of make me laugh. The books do seem to be well made and sturdy. I have 2 other cloth books from this same company. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Definite must have for newborns!, April 5, 2008

This review is from: Cloth Book Snowy Bear (Bath Book)
My son absolutely loves this book- it is his favorite. I think it is best for the little ones (my son is 3 months old) because of the various dark blue colored backgrounds which contrast so well with the white pictures. The clothbooks are wonderful because they can grasp the pages with ease and even suck on them if they wish. The different textures that accompany each animal make each page a new textile experience! I highly recommend this book as well as all Priddy books.

My two-year-old still love this book. Has the popular crinkly first page and touch-and-feel pages. Adorable illustrations and fun facts for little ones. We love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these books, June 26, 2010
This review is from: Cloth Book Snowy Bear (Bath Book)
My 7month old has loved these books for months. They are wonderful for chewing, hugging and reading to them as well. He loves the first page that is "crinkly." Only one word of warning. If you decide to throw this book in the washing machine - skip the dryer! The cellophane will shrink and you have to rip it up a bit to get the book straight again. My son doesn't mind of course but now Snowy Bear looks a bit more "loved" than Squishy Turtle and Fuzzy Bee :)
