great for reenactors, June 12, 2009
This review is from: Cloth Parasol, Solid Ivory #8000WW (Apparel)
I was fairly impressed with this item..... what the pic doesn't show or describe is that the whole structure of the parasol is wood connected together with red thread, whick is really cool.....the fabric itself isn't a white ivory, but kind of an off white with a golden tint. Not what I'd been looking for, I'd have preferred white. But it is a nice item nonetheless. Great for historical reenactments, as it has no 'modern' technology showing.

great item!, March 8, 2008

exactly as the description! it was a beautiful addition to my daughter's baby shower. we decorated the handle with ribbons and the top w/ a few small flowers and it was the centerpiece to the sign-in table at the shower. GORGEOUS! recommend this item highly. the price is also incomparable to anything out there... believe me i researched! the delivery was prompt considering the fact that i found it late and placed the order a bit too close to the shower. i emailed the vendor and as promised recieved it quickly.

Solid Ivory Cloth Parasol, November 30, 2010
This review is from: Cloth Parasol, Solid Ivory #8000WW (Apparel)
This is a beautifully affordable parasol!
The construction of the parasol is a thin but durable cloth on wood with thick colored red thread. It looks handmade as the thread seems to be woven in and throughout the wooden slats and handle.
The parasol itself is quite fragile as when you open it, the block of wood that pops out to hold it open is pretty high up making me a little nervous every time I open it. The top of the parasol and the handle become perpendicular to each other when opened fully.
I would purchase this again as it is very beautiful and every time I use it on my photo shoots, everyone always loves it!
Conclusion: Though delicate, I have not had any problems with the parasol. As long as they are treated as they are fragile, you should have no problem either. The parasol is beautiful and looks completely hand made, adding to the attraction of it. A purchase I would gladly repeat!
