Unique book,

This is an excellent book. One of its most useful aspects are the instructions for building basic book-binding tools, a drilling press, a finishing press, and a box mortise. Most other books either try to do without these tools or assume that you have (expensive) professional ones available.I would love to update this book to expand the finishing press to be big enough to accommodate binding 8.5" x 11" materials. Also useful would be some information on sewing individual signatures into a complete book. That would change the title to something like, "How to Clothbind any book." |
