This solution is the best for killing jock itch and athletes foot.

This topical solution is a generic brand of Lotrimin; and it has worked wonders on my toenail infection!

I was relieved to find this after the same Lotramin product was no longer carried in local stores.

I suffer from fungal ear infections (as opposed to the more common bacterial ear infections) and clotrimazole liquid is one of the few products available OTC that treats this condition. Most people think of clotrimazole/Lotrimin as an athlete's foot medication, but the ear specialist at the Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital who first diagnosed the problem recommended it to me. It proved effective against the infection, and I experienced no adverse effects. I applied a few drops in each ear twice a day, either lying on my side or tilting my head sideways (to keep the drops in) for about one minute on either side. I got relief from the symptoms within a couple of days. The downside is that you have to keep up the regimen for about four weeks, even after the symptoms resolve, or the fungus will likely return. However, other than Burrows' Solution I am not aware of any other drugstore remedy effective against fungal infections of the ear. I wish that it were more widely carried! The cream, spray, and ointment formulations are useless, as they don't penetrate into your ear canal. I stockpile this stuff!

CAUTION: READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING !!!

This topical solution is a generic brand of Lotrimin; and it has worked wonders on my toenail infection! Believe it or not, a toenail fungal infection can eventually get so bad that it actually begins to hurt somewhat; and the infected nail can chafe against your sock. It's even worse when you're wearing a shoe with that sock! It just plain gets uncomfortable; and besides, who wants a fungal infection on their foot or toenail, even if it's usually a relatively minor problem?

In addition, this same liquid solution apparently can help tremendously with "jock itch" and "athlete's foot;" but I can't comment too much on that personally because I did not use this solution for those problems.

Again, the directions are on the bottle, so read them first before using this product. Nevertheless, I will also tell you what worked for me specifically in my particular case. I got this and then I first cleansed the area with soap and water; then I applied it to the infected area. The solution (liquid form) is probably better for a nail infection than antifungal Lotrimin cream because the liquid solution can get underneath your nail much more effectively than any cream could. Make sure it gets applied generously to both the outside of the nail and underneath your toenail. I have used this only one day and already the infection is beginning to subside.

Of course, if this product doesn't work for you or if you have nay health concerns, see your doctor or ask them questions first before using this solution. The doctor may refer you to a dermatologist depending on your precise situation.

This product works well for me; and I think it's great for other people, too. Use it before any expiration date printed on the bottle. After that discard this and get another bottle.

Good luck to you!

I had a recurring ear infection in both ears, diagnosed by a doctor. I was in pain, I had constant drainage in my ears for two or three months. I went to a doctor the first time and he cleaned out my ears, prescribed me a antibiotic in pill form and drops. After another month I was still having problems. Went to different doctor, more antibiotics, more drops. I give it another month, still back to where I was in the beginning. My mother told me she had a problem with her ear and her doctor gave her clotrimazole ointment to rub on the outside of her ear canal and it relieved her pain and itching. I began to research on my own and found this clotrimazole solution that I could use as an ear drop. I had looked in every drug store in town and no one sells it. I ordered two bottles and began using a few drops in each ear two or three times a day. After three or four days my ears were back to normal, but I continued using the solution for about two weeks. A couple months have passed with my ears doing fine. I had a fungal infection that antibiotics would not help. So I spent a couple hundred dollars on doctors visits and meds, had an appointment to see a specialist but thought I'd try the clotrimazole solution first. I spent 30 bucks for two bottles shipped in three days. I still have half of the first bottle left and have not opened the second. A case where doctors aren't always right. I hope this product works for you as well as it did for me.

Great stuff. I applied it twice a day to my nail and as the nail grew, the fungus disappeared!
Takes a few months, but no side effects.

By far the best Athletes Foot Antifungal available still on the market today. It's easy to use, store, transport, lasts a long time, no mess or telltale signs, and helps eliminate the stigma. For over 15 years, I've had a couple broken toes that stay close together. The summer heat and moisture cause irritation this eliminates it quickly. I use it every other day in the summer as prevention. A drop where needed and the bottles lasts a long time. Its original name was Lotrimin solution.

This is a good anti-fungal. I use it in my ears when I have itchiness down inside them. It works other places too. It is hard to find it over the counter now, so I ordered it.
