What might be, April 25, 2011
This review is from: The Cloud Corporation (Paperback)
I have a strong suspicion that the claims that "The Cloud Corporation" by Timothy Donnelly marks the arrival of the first major voice of 21rst century English poetry are right. In some ways, it seems more like a fine linguist's brilliant recapitulation, extension of and tribute to the Talking Heads; in other ways, it announces a new sensibility and way forward for English poetry. Something I feared would be unlikely.

Reaching for Something New, September 10, 2011
This review is from: The Cloud Corporation (Paperback)
I have reflected long and hard about what to say about this collection. The highest complement I can pay to it, is that it strives to achieve things that are important, without falling into any sense of self-importance. The poems engage with the world (I think it does anyway), in a technological sense and in a political sense. He plays with form, get's the whole "postmodern thing", but never to alienate the reader.
