We bought this for our newborn in February when we were concerned about him being warm enough in his crib and were following doctor's orders about no loose blankets while sleeping. He was warm and snug and we could sleep knowing his face wasn't getting covered up. When he got older, we ordered larger sizes. Our son liked discovering the velcro closure at the neckline and would suck on it while waiting for us to come get him in the morning. Washes up great, too. I think this is a good baby shower gift. I would give it five stars if I didn't think it kept him from learning to roll over sooner. The blanket isn't tight around the legs, but the added bulk made it harder to get the momentum to roll over.

I'd been using the kiddopotamus sleep bag for my baby girl and loved it. While searching for another one on amazon, I came across the cloud b lullabag on sale and decided to take a chance on it. We live in Wisconsin and have the heater on all the time in winter. I'm always worried about my baby being overheated but this cotton sleep bag is great. I absolutely love it. It's bigger than the kiddopotamus bag so there's more room for my very active little one to kick her legs around in. It's soft inside and she looks adorable in it. The little fluffy dog on the bag adds to the cuteness factor!

The fabric is thick and soft, and the embriodered puppy emblem is cute. Good deal in the baby outlet.
