We got our turtle yesterday and no, the stars don't move and the yellow stars don't show, but my five year old loved having blue stars all over her room. The amber starts would only work if you have very, very dark walls, so they are pretty useless. Finding the constellations can be done if the turtle is in the middle of a large room. I don't know if it was an earlier model that people said the stars only showed if it was right next to the ceiling, but ours works even if it is on the floor. Granted, the stars are more detailed the closer you get, but I left it at the foot of my daughter's bed and her room was covered with stars. So the look of enchantment on her face was worth the thirty bucks, plus the turtle is cute. Also, please pay attention to the age recommendation--it truly is for three and over. My one year old would probably stand on it or drop it and the shell could be damaged, so it is for older children.

LOVE IT! Highly Recommended!,

I am an avid stargazer and have been looking for the perfect celestial touches for my soon-to-be-arriving baby's room. This is the most adorable and unique night light I have ever seen! It works beautifully - the star projections on the ceiling are great, and I am especially thrilled that they are actual constellations. To the reviewer who complained about the shell breaking and injuring her 18-month old, it says on the box that this is for ages 3 and up. It's not meant for babies to play with; it's more of a night light than a toy anyway. Overall I think it is a high quality, wonderful item and I would recommend it to anyone!

AWESOME NIGHTLITE FOR GOING TO BED!,
By JAZ mom (Malibu, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Twilight Ladybug Constellation Nightlight (Baby Product)
We already had a Cloud b Twilight Turtle - Constellation Night Light and got this Twilight Ladybug to use when we sleep at grandma's house. My daughter loved the turtle, and loves the ladybug even more! I will say, this one is much improved from the turtle we got over 2 years ago for a couple reasons... 1. the ON button also turns the light OFF as well on this ladbug (the turtle doesn't have the OFF option- you have to turn it off by the switch underneath if you want it off before the 45 min. automatic shutoff) 2. the stars are much clearer on the ceiling and there are more of them, including now a crescent moon cutout too (on the old turtle the stars appeared pretty blurry and there weren't as many of them to make a full sky on the ceiling). This ladybug really lights up the ceiling and fills it with stars and a crescent moon-- so gorgeous!! Not sure if you buy a turtle today that they have updated it with these improvements - most likely they have, but it would be wise to check and make sure before purchasing.

Great nightlight,

My husband and I actually bought the turtle for ourselves. It sits on a chair in our bedroom - we turn it on every night before bed. The turtle is very cute and has three color lights to choose from (blue, white and green). The stars are kinda blurry with the white light, but are clear with the green and the blue. The light is soft and lasts just long enough to get to sleep.

First, let me say, that I bought this early, as I have a newborn (3 months old), but at some point my daughter will be old enough to sleep in her own room, and as most kids do, she will want a nite-light.
Well, I was skeptical at first, but this thing really does produce a cool looking and relaxing night sky on the ceiling. Say goodbye to those lame, glow-in-the dark stars that you put on the ceiling of your kids' rooms...you know, the ones that never really hold the glow. This thing projects a beautiful sky, and in 3 different colors (although they claim the red is mostly for the nite-light usage). The quality is really nice, although the buttons for the lights could be designed a bit better...they are hard plastic, whereas a more traditional rubber coating would have been a bit more comfortable. Pretty much the only reason I didn't give this thing 5 stars, is because it would have been perfect if it had offered a music function, and maybe a bit of movement or twinkle in the stars. Then it would have gotten 5 stars from me hands-down. But, as it is, it is the BEST nite-light product I have found, and I don't think it is only for young children, as the sky looks cool even to an adult...very relaxing. Bottom line...this is a no-brainer purchase whether you have kids or not. BUY IT.

We love this! I am considering getting a "back up." Our 4 month old baby was totally entranced by the stars! It is terrific! Such a cute little turtle too. The stars are very soothing. The blue is easiest to see at first, but after your eyes adjust to the darkness, the blue and green are too bright and the amber is the perfect "glow." I used it for late night nursing and it was the perfect amount of light. We have 10' ceilings and the stars show up extremely well. They are "five pointed" stars -- not various sized dots like I expected but still enchanting.
Edit: now at 13 months, still used every night! A beloved toy for our now toddler and I love it to! If it seems dim, it just needs a new battery or time for my eyes to adjust.

Buyer Beware - IMITATION PRODUCT from ZEETRON,
BUYER BEWARE! Don't buy this product from Zeetron! Don't make the mistake I did. I assumed when purchasing a "Cloud B Constellation Twilight Turtle" from Zeetron that I would receive just that... not so. They instead sent me a cheap fake. I received a Merry Twilight Turtle Star Guide" instead which is super cheap and doesn't work correctly. When I contacted Zeetron about the issue, they told me they would refund my money but not the shipping charges, plus I would have to ship the item back at MY expense when it's THEIR mistake.

Twilight Turtle: Your Star Burns Dim,
By
This review is from: Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Turtle (Baby Product)
Overall, I love the Twilight Turtle and he proudly sits in the center of my bed. Yes, I'm 30 and I don't care. This is a good gift for any turtle lover. However, the amber light feature is so dark, it can hardly be seen. Also, it is promoted as the first ever completely plush nightlight. Maybe "plush" means something else (Lord knows language is changing over night) but my turtle shell is made of a thick plastic armor. Is that "plush?" But, I will say this. I love it anyway and use it nightly. Shine on you crazy turtle.

A sweet product,

This review is from: Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Lady Bug (Baby Product)
I bought this product for my 7 month old daughter. My son (2) has the Twilight turtle. We have always liked the turtle, but there were some flaws. For example, the yellow did not show up on the ceiling/walls no matter where it is placed in the room, and there is no off button. So it goes through batteries because my son is constantly turning it on at all times of the day. With this being said my son will not go to sleep without the turtle. We even take it on vacations. As mentioned I bought the lady bug for my daughter. I had planned on buying her the turtle, but when I saw the bug I couldn't resist. Cloud B has made some modifications since the turtle and they are for the better. The on button is also an off button. They removed the yellow and replaced it with a red, which is to be used as a nightlight....it does not project the stars. So far I do not have any complaints.

Good idea, bad implementation,
This review is from: Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Turtle (Baby Product)
We were so excited to purchase this product as a nightlite and more. Out of the box the turtle seems very well made. The lights eminating from its back are quite bright. Herein lies the problem. It seems that in order to actually notice that the lights coming from its back are stars and to see all of the constellations, the turtle, according to recommendations, must be placed high on an object in the center of the room. Who has a dresser or something similar in the center of the room? Placing the turtle on the floor diminishes the stars so that the lights simply look like fuzzy indistinct shapes on the ceiling. Putting it on a dresser near the wall also doesn't work because the full constellations won't appear on the ceiling.
