3.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet January 24, 2013
By Laura
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a short novella about Daniel and Rachel who featured in 'Find you in the Dark'. That was a good book but quite deep. Maggie the heroine of find you in the dark, Daniel and Rachel have grown up together and have been best friends forever. Although Maggie's parents are happily married both Daniel and Rachel's parents are divorced and they don't have a particularly good home life.

It was obvious in the first novel that Rachel had a major crush on Daniel but he was oblivious and dated another girl. In this novella, we see that Daniel does start to have feelings for Rachel but they shock him and he doesn't want to act upon them because he doesn't want to ruin their frendship, something that he cherishes. However, he senses that his actions are hurting Rachel and that she starts to get angry with him.

The story is told from both Daniel and Rachel's POV. Daniel is a sweet guy. This is a sweet story. They are both 17 and it was a very teen romance. Nothing shocking and the story is suitable for teenagers. It was too sweet for me. I did like to read how Daniel and Rachel felt about Maggie and Clay's relationship as we didn't really get their POV on that in the first novel. But this novella just follows the same timeline as the first book and we knew in that they got together as a couple so I would say this would interest only the die hard fans.

I am however, looking forward to the continuation of Maggie and Clay's love story in 'Light in the Shadows' which will release in March. I like this authors writing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh ... March 3, 2013
By Kmac
Format:Kindle Edition
Cloud Walking was more a synopsis of Find you in the Dark from Daniel and Rachel's POV

With no real depth or emotion, this took me about three (3) hours tops if even so much to finish read it. (and no, it's not because its a hundred page novella)

I really think that if Rachel and Daniel were to get a story, it should have been in a totally different setting with much more depth (Afterall, the girl waited 12 years to get the boy!)

Still, it had it's moments and surprises that I never even knew existed. (Like Daniel's talk with Clay).

While this novella answered little if any question, it was nice to know what Daniel and Rachel spoke about in the cabin, even if it wasn't much nor what I expected.

I still believe Find you in the dark is a lovely, well written novel and any little bit of insight into Clay and Maggie is always welcome.

Guess we all don't like love that's only about Cloud Walking.

Always a sucker for a little Bi-polar love :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Great story. Terrible spelling. March 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Where was the proof reader? Doesn't the publisher have spell check. Every page had numerous spelling errors. The errors distracted from good story. I would expect better from a e-book that I paid for.

4.0 out of 5 stars loved it! January 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I adored Find You in the Dark and this novella about Danielle and Rachel does not disappoint. It's the perfect romantic angst-ridden story of how Daniel and Rachel navigated their way to each other after a life long friendship. Alternating perspectives provide the characters real feelings as well as an outside look at how the tragic relationship between Clay and Maggie affected everyone around them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful novella February 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Aaah, I'm so excited for Light in the Shadows, having absolutely adored Find You in the Dark, so I was really excited to be able to read this beautiful novella, about surrounding characters, Maggie's friends, Rachel and Daniel.

In Find You in the Dark there is a continuous sub storyline playing out in the background with Rachel and Daniel, and A. Meredith Walters did a fantastic job at piecing all of it together to form Cloud Walking.

'Daniel Lowe. My savior. My perfect guy. The boy who would never love me the way that I loved him.'

Daniel is gorgeous and such a typical man. I think we can all relate the how exasperating the male species can be, with their obliviousness, their one track mind and their inability to remember arrangements... Daniel is all of those things, but so completely loveable. You can't help but like him straight away.

"If I've ever made you feel less than crucial to my life, I apologize. Because you are important to me. Actually important doesn't even cover it. You are fundamental to who I am. There is no Daniel Lowe without Rachel Bradfield."

And poor Rachel. She has loved her best friend, from afar, forever, and he is completely blind to her. Until now...

"This is what love was supposed to feel like. This perfect immersion of two people who were ready and willing to become a part of each other. "

The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because it is too short!!! I could read about these characters forever and if I thought I couldn't wait for Light in the Shadowsbeforehand, I'm positively chomping at the bit now!

Roll on March 26th! Woop!

"I just want to be the only thing he sees. I want to feel like we're walking on clouds when we're
together. That I'm the girl he wants,"
