If you're not going to throw this in a bag, it works fine, and much easier than the counters that go on the needles- you just hit the top.

That said, I recommend the green Clover locking model. You don't have to worry about it "deciding" that you're now on row 48 when you're actually on row 42. It's a few bucks extra but well worth it.

This is an inexpensive row counter for knitting, and for the most part it works well. However, if it's in your knitting bag, or somewhere that the reset buttons could be moved, you lose count. This has already happened to me twice. You would think they would make these more resistant to movement.

Counter intended for stitches for knitting or crochet, but I use it to track my WATER during a day ... Each glass downed gets a click... so I don't have to wonder if I filled my quota ... only has two numbers so 99 is max position you can go... I was wanting the old fashioned grocery counter for money, but none to be found .... This gadget works fine for my yarns, water count, and trips to pee as Dr was tracking... No batteries needed, just press the lever-tab, count adds up ... Sure there is something you need to count... small, portable for a pocket

I am TIRED of trying to count my rows in a long amount and this little blessing does it for me! arrived in good shape and on time, and all I have to do is push the top of it to add another row to my project. Resetting it is a bit more of a chore but it works fine. I really like this thingie! And I do crochet!

It works great. But you may lose your place if you drop it. It is easier to read than the small barrel ones that fit on your needles.

I bought this recently and I find it to be perfect for the job. It's not great if you are going to put it in a bag unless you have a littler compartment to put it in so it doesn't get pushed or the sides don't move and change your stitch count. Over all it does what it's supposed to and it's a great price.

The best and the least expensive of all such counters. I recommend it highly. It is best for crochet as I find I like to have the option of placing counters on knitting needles when I knit.

I like to do complicated projects when I knit or crochet. You have to keep track of either rows or number of time to do something. Clover is a trusted brand name and I have many tools made by them to help me with my projects. Well, this counter is no exception to the quality they have. This counter is not too small nor too big and it is very easy to push the button down and can do push it quickly to have the numbers go higher quicker, or you can scroll with the white scroller on the right of the counter. I like to do it via the scroller when I have to either change the number by a lot or reset it back to zero. It does only have 2 digits, but when I get over 99, I just keep going to 1, 2, etc. knowing that represents 101, 102, etc. I do wish it had 2 different tracking numbers so I could keep track of the rows with one and the number of times I have do something as the second number. I use 2 of these, or another Clover counter to do the other one. I also wish it came in different colors. The price was great and cheaper than the craft stores. I highly recommend this!
