I have been crocheting for several decades. I've used whatever was on hand to mark my work, i.e. bobby pins, safety pins, bits of yarn. I finally "splurged" on these markers and now wonder why I didn't think they were important to use before. If I am creating a large number of rows, I can place a marker every ten rows (or whatever multiple) and have less counting. It is one of those "duh" moments to finally use markers made for my crocheting plus so much easier to use.

I have a variety of stitch markers, but these are my favorite. They're easy to use and don't get in the way. Because they're made like safety pins, I can also slip a small tag on them and use them to mark the part of the garmet I'm working on. For example on a recent project I marked the front of the work and then marked the sleeves, the back, the front,etc...which made life a lot easier come assembly time.

smart and easy way to mark stitches while knitting or crocheting. nice part is that they work like a safety pin so you can move or remove it anytime during your work.

They really are better than using safety pins or snippets of thread to keep count of rows on projects. I work on my knitting on mass transit and it just takes a quick glance to remember on which row I am supposed to be working. Not giving it 5 stars because I have noticed that they are losing flexibility after 4 uses. Not sure how long they will really last as locked markers. Orders like this make Amazon Prime membership worth it.

I had been using safety pins to mark my rows. They work, but can snag the yarn. These are amazing and don't catch on the yarn at all. Having different colors is very nice, too. I hightly recommend this product.

These are probably some of my favorite markers because they lock and unlock for easy removal and slipping. I used to get the crescent shaped markers but found that they fall off too much. I ordered 2 packs to suppliment my projects.

These are indispensible if you knit. I use them for everything -- as markers, to hold pieces together when I'm sewing up a sweater, to hold counters, etc. And because they unlock, you can move them around.

I recently became addicted to making amigurumi or crocheted dolls that were built upon rounds and rounds of single crochets. With the Clover Lock Ring Markers, I don't need to worry about losing count of stitches which often happened when the stitch marker fell off. The lock ring marker worked like a safety pin and it didn't take much time to get used to it. I think $5 plus tax was a bit too expensive and the ring markers could be a little bigger. (I later found that there were Jumbo Clover Lock Ring Markers available after I purchased the smaller ones.) However, I am quite satisfied with the ones I am using now.

These lock ring markers are essential for my crochet projects. For marking your place and keeping your stitches from unraveling. Much better than paperclips or safety pins.

The product itself is great but way too pricy. Could have picked it up at a Hobby Lobby for half the price if I would have been patient. I love the locking markers for knitting because you can hook them anywhere on the work, you don't have to have them on the needles as you knit.
