This little seam ripper is great! It is sturdy and handy and comes with it's own hard plastic cover. Clover makes another model (the 502) that is not quite as nice; it has a bulkier handle and a soft plastic slipover cover, so I would pick this one for sure out of all of the ones I've owned or found online. My best use of this handy little item is to rip out alterations I've made to my clothes. You can't go wrong here!

Highly recommended.

Really nice product. The tip is fine enough to remove those irritating tags sewn into collars, and the handle is a good shape to hold securely.

The Clover seam ripper is the best I have found. It is sharp for a long time. The handle is comfortable when using. The small tip makes it easy to pick seams. Makes tedious jobs a bit easier.

This seam ripper is perfect.

1. Sharp, you don't need try to cut the same place more than once
2. Convenient handle, my hand does not get tired even on a large ripping job
3. Come with a cover for the ripper, so I don't stub myself when I am not using it
4. Sturdy, hold up even when I am working it hard
5. Work great in hard to reach places, getting tiny stitches

What else can you ask from a ripper? The only thing it does not do is do the job without your help ;-)

I like the fact that this ripper has a nice large handle and nice sharp point. Because it is larger it is more comfortable to hold onto and I am less likely to lose it. I have lost a couple of smaller ones in the past.

I have found that this ripper works perfectly for ripping general sewing projects with a regular sized stitch length, say at a setting of 2.0 on my sewing machine.

Cons: If I am trying to undo stitching for a paper piecing project which has a stitch length of say 1.4 or 1.6, I find that this ripper is not fine enough and I really struggle to correct mistakes made during these projects when using this ripper.

Also the cap is small and does not secure onto the other end of the handle (ie: like a pen cap), therefore the cap must remain lose, making it easy to lose. The cap is pretty necessary for storage since the end is sharp, so even though I haven't lost the cap yet, I know it is somewhat inevitable which i find unfortunate.

I've used this ripper for over 15 years. I sew a lot and have ripped alot!! It is just now showing a little dullness! The handle is made for comfort and fits your hand. This is absolutely the best ripper on the market!!

I purchased this seam ripper because of the great reviews. Well, I don't know what everyone else received, but the seam ripper I received broke on the very first stitch I tried to remove.

Unfortunately, the metal tip of this seam ripper broke off the first time I used it. Maybe it was a manufacturing anomaly but I don't recommend this product.

I've only used this a couple of times, but it seems pretty solid. The handle isn't as ergonimical as I would like, but it isn't uncomfortable if you are only using it for small segments. If you're ripping something completely apart, it would probably be a bit oncomfortable towards the end. Beyond that, it does what it needs to and I anticipate that it will last a while.

It's a seam ripper. It rips seams. It seems pretty high quality and certainly gets the job done. I like that it comes with a plastic cap, since it's super sharp.
