5.0 out of 5 stars Great for marking quilts for straight line quilting! March 17, 2010
By lssnlan
I use it for marking my baby quilts so I can quilt a diagonal grid pattern on them. Place your rulers from one corner to the opposite corner to make a diagonal line. Take the hera marker and press right next to the ruler's edge. Stitch on the line. There is no mark left, no marking pen ink to wash out or chalk to brush off. I have used it when I wanted a curved quilting design, it took me a while to mark the quilt but it did work.
Happy Quilting!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great when really clean work is required. August 17, 2012
I bought this marker because I read about it somewhere, perhaps Threads Magazine. It's good to use when you don't want to use chalk. I used it on a sample which I believe had to be hand-quilted or pad-stitched. I scored a series of lines and sewed in the grooves.

The marker can be a little slippery on the fabric and sometimes you have to press down to make an impression. If the fabric is white, it's not always easy to see the line.

I've since realized that chalk that can be brushed off is acceptable for most of my projects, but it's still good to have this tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow so easy to use... July 11, 2012

This is a great product, I had to make totes with tons of cross-mark quilting on them, with this product you don't have to worry about how does this line go away (air? water? erase?). The only real worry I found was making sure that there was at least a little bit of basting and a nice straight line ruler to follow...

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy lines, starts creases January 4, 2013

Simple plastic tool helps create indents in fabric for marking. If you press hard enough can even crease thin fabric. I've used it instead of ironing.
