4.0 out of 5 stars Great for two shuttle tatting, December 30, 2007
These are nice small light weight shuttles and in my opinion that makes them perfect for two shuttle tatting. When I'm using two shuttles at once, one of them is dangling off my pinkie finger. (not real comfortable with the larger metal shuttles available)I also think they are kinda pretty. The only complaint I have is that I would have prefer a hook on the end instead of the pick, but after a little bit of practice I'm able to use the pick just fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love my TortoiseTatting Shuttle, December 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Clover Tatting Shuttle, Tortoise (Kitchen)
When I started using my Clover Tortoise Tatting shuttle as soon as I got it from the mail, I noticed my speed in my tatting stitches. I ordered my shuttle when my round table tatting lace project was just around 15" in diameter. I lost a lot of thread size 10 due to mistakes, when the knots can't be undone,I just cut it off and continue or if the mistake is just a few knots I just use a pin to undo the knots. With my new Clover Tortoise tatting shuttle, I am able to undo the knots using the pointed end of the shuttle, because the point is just like the point of a pin that it can undo the knots even if they are so tight. I do not carry a small scissor to cut the mistake also because I just undo the knots and started over the mistake. It is also very light that it is very it I can hold it without falling a lot from my grasp. I love it. Now, my table tatting lace is over 30" in diameter now and another two rounds it will be done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clover shuttles are tops!, March 21, 2011
This review is from: Clover Tatting Shuttle, Tortoise (Kitchen)
I learned to tat using Clover shuttles...and have tried other styles since then, but keep going back to the Clover ones...they fit my hand perfectly and the point is sooo useful to join picots, tat over thread tails when joining new ends and 'untat' mistakes.. I highly recommend them....
