Customer Reviews

They are smooth, pleasant to hold, very easy to work with.

There is no catching on the yarn and the bamboo is lets you move your stitches easily, but keeps them in place better than metal needles.

Clover Takumi Bamboo is the best brand around if you are fussy about the needles you use.

Every knitter is different. Some prefer bamboo needles and some metal. After receiving these needles and trying to knit rows of 235 stitches I found that they are horrible! You really have to work to get the stitches to the end of the needles. It's very hard on the hands and you can only knit a couple rows before you have to stop because your hands hurt too much. Bamboo may be alright for very slippery yarn in smaller guages so the stitches don't slip off. The Addi turbo needles are the way to go for me. They are worth every penny extra you spend. Anyone who suffers from carpal tunnel's should stay away from bamboo needles. I hope this review helps any new knitters out there.

Love these knitting needles. I have about 20 different lengths and sizes. I like the way they feel in my hands and the yarn dosen't slip or slide as much as metal. They are actually very reasonably priced on Amazon. Tip: for easier use I use a hair dryer to straighten them. Hold one end up in the air and as the dryer warms them they will begin to straighten.

I've used Clover needles before, so I knew what to expect. The needles themselves are nice and smooth, with just the right about of point on the tip. There is no joint between the needle and the cord to catch stitches on. The cable itself is fairly flexible and easy to work with, unlike some cables I've used that try to force the needles one way or the other. I would definitely recommend these and other size Clover needles!

I've tried them all over the years, from stainless steel, to plastic, and even some wooden imitations. But once you use Bamboo knitting needles, you just might never want to switch. Lately, I'm knitting two stocks at once on my circular needles. And I love making coat-length sweaters and even long drapey scarves.

The other bonus with buying these needles through Amazon is that they cost 25% less than the price in local retail stores. Plus. I didn't have to leave home or spend money on gas. I just placed my order and in two days, I was breaking the seal on the box and within a short amount of time, I was casting on and knitting away.

I would buy this brand again, and I would order it through Amazon too.

I always have a knitting project, sometimes more than one, on the needles. These are the best for the kind of knitting I do. They don't let the yarn slip off the needle easily; they feel good in my hands, and best of all, I can get them through security at the airport!

The needle length is perfect, the bamboo tips don't split the yarn, however, after knitting 22 oz of yarn, the bamboo needed to be lightly sanded - looked like the tips were beginning to splinter. I wouldn't say I was impressed by using bamboo.

I have always preferred using the Clover Bamboo Circular needles over others. The allow work to stay in place and on the needles even with hand problems. Not like the others where they slip or fall off by putting them down or from the hands jerking because of the muscles or the stiffness. Just move work to the middle and stick the ends in your yarn ball and store.

I bought these to use as straight needles for an afghan that I am knitting. This was my first time trying bamboo needles and these have worked great. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are coiled in the package so they are hard to work with unless you straighten them out. To straighten them out, simply dip the plastic line (be careful not to dip the join between the wood and the plastic) into a pot of very hot water and hold them straight while the plastic cools.
