5.0 out of 5 stars That was then this is now ......, June 3, 2007

This review is from: Clover Electronics CM625 Ultra Miniature B/W Camera with Standard Lens - Small (Black) (Electronics)
Of my several security cameras that I have securing the perimeter of my house, one is a Clover B/W and other three are different other brands.
All of them do fine during daylight but during the night the Clover is the only one which can still 'see' while others go blind. A 60-watt light bulb on my motion sensor gives the Clover enough light to convey a clear and excellent picture to my recorder. One of my other cameras was sprayed on during one night, so now I have the Clover 'protecting' this other camera from its hidden location during the night. Strongly recommended.

Update: August 2009. (couldn't change the stars to one)
The above was the review of the camera I had received in 2007.
It had worked well so I decided to get another one. Very disappointed now.
The camera I have received now is a no-name brand and just looks similar ot the original one. Not even close in functionality. Description at Amamzon says power adapter is included, but I did not receive one. Used my own to test. The camera they are shipping now does not work in low light and is a piece of junk. Tried to contact Clover's support. Has been two weeks. Have not even recd an acknowledgement.
Don't waste your time.

5.0 out of 5 stars dependable little camera, October 7, 2011

This review is from: Clover Electronics CM625 Ultra Miniature B/W Camera with Standard Lens - Small (Black) (Electronics)
Used this since May 2011 as webcam with RCA-input software/hardware under linux.

Crisp images especially under 940nm infrared.

Back of case does get warm, but seems to dissipate said heat just fine.
