Product Description

# 235 Gold eye embroidery needles # 3-9. These needles will glide through fabric smoothly. The needle has gold eye plating with a unique elliptical design for easy threading. The hardness of steel was obtained through high temperature treatment and tempering making our needle hard to break or bend.

Recently, I finished a 5-year-long embroidery project on a linen and cotton union fabric, after which I found that my fingers hurt for a week! Realizing that the problem was in the needles which I had been using, I searched for better ones. My research revealed that gold-eyed or plated needles slide into and out of fabric much easier than other needles. Thus, I searched my go-to sight (Amazon) and found these Clover Gold Eye Embroidery needles. These needles ARE SO MUCH EASIER TO USE, and don't cause hand and finger fatigue! What a find for an avid needleworker! Thanks, Amazon!

These needles were just what I was looking for. There's a nice assortment of sizes that can tackle all of your everyday sewing needs. I use them in place of sharps because the eyes are larger and that makes them easier to thread.

These are just wonderful for embroidery, the oval shaped eyes are easy to thread, and they go through fabrics very easily.

They don't bend easily while still being fine enough for most types of fabric and the tips are tapered and sharp with no barbs. Size 3-9 is a good range, size 3 will work with crewel embroidery on a linen ground, and size 9 works with finer threads.

I do a lot of embroidery and this is my favorite brand. My project vary from using 4 strands of thread to one, and sometimes adding beads. The different sizes makes doing a variety of projects easy.

These are great needles, they're my first embroidery needles and I'm quite satisfied with them :) They are easy to thread, they go through the fabric well, and I have absolutely no complaints! These are a good buy.

I love these Clover gold eye embroidery needles. Very smooth with no barbs, large oval eyes that are easier to thread. I tend to use the larger (#3) needles just because I am getting older and the eyes are larger. They are still small enough in diameter for all except my finest embroidery work. I also use them with yarn for my crewel work unless the yarn is extra thick. Then I have to go to Clover Gold Eye Chenille, No. 18.

I figure if I'm going to spend the time I do on needlework, I'm going to work with equipment that is the best.

I do needlepoint a lot. I have noticed that the needles are bending very easily after I do some stitching. Not sure why they get a curve in them but never had needles do this before.
