I love all the bamboo needles from Takumi.
OneMtnGirl
I like that the bamboo is not as super slippery as metal needles (they are about as slick as plastic ones, which I like).

I knit a lot of large blankets and these are perfect.

I love Clover bamboo knitting needles and rarely knit with anything else. I purchased this 48" long Size 6 needle from Amazon because the sweater I am knitting "grew" to the point that the Size 6 36" long circular needle I had it on would not accommodate all the stitches, and because I could not find one this size in my local yarn store. But when I took the new one out of the wrapper I could tell the two needles were not the same size. Sure enough, the needle I was replacing was 4.00 millimeters in diameter, and the new one was 4.25 mm. However, both are labeled Size 6. A little research revealed that a Japanese Size 6 needle is 4.25 mm and a US Size 6, like all of my other Size 6 needles, is 4.00 mm. Since Clover bamboo needles are made in Japan, I suppose it is reasonable to expect them to be made to Japanese standards. The slight difference in needle size did not make a difference to my project, but to some knitting projects, it might. Be aware!

I won't use anything but bamboo knitting needles, and these are the best! These are perfect for knitting vertical scarves--have made three so far. LOVE these needles!

I love all the bamboo needles from Takumi. I like bamboo because the stitches stay on . For all of you speed knitters with your aluminum needles (or nickel platted) I would love to join you but I am allergic to various metals and nickel and aluminum are two of many that are on my list. The bamboo doesn't bother my skin at all. I like the way it feels too, warm and smooth compared to the cold metal. I find that I lose my stitches off the metal needles all the time, too. It is so frustrating to look down and find that 5,6 or more stitches have slipped off your needles and need to be gently put back on. Elizabeth Zimmerman I am not, I freak out when my stitches slip. Now there is a good saying, "Her stitches aren't all on her needles!" That is right up there with "He's a couple of bricks shy a full load!"

Bamboo is good though. I like to lay my knitting down and know the stitches will be on the needle when I come back. The cords are easy to work with and fairly straight. I recommend this brand over all the other brands, although I haven't used Addi's bamboo, yet because of the price. These are a fair price for an excellent product and I will definitely buy more in different sizes (I have around 10 at this time).

Happy knitting:-)

I just started knitting a month ago, as I wanted to make some scarves and hats as Christmas presents for family members. Several years ago, a friend had tried to teach me (futilely) to knit on metal needles. I kept dropping stitches and could not get into the knitting groove. Luckily, Clover bamboo needles came to the rescue! I was knitting and purling within minutes of watching some videos on youtube. So far I've used a few sizes of Clover's straight and circular needles, and I've enjoyed using all of them. But I bought this pair, in particular, to knit a hat using the Magic Loop Method. Although I did wind up with a 'ladder' in my work, the hat still turned out really well. My boyfriend loved it. I'm going to try a pair of mittens next.

I'm deducting a star, because the join of these needles is rough. I'm a slightly tight knitter, and I have a hard time sliding the stitches over the spot where the cable and needles meet. I really have to tug sometimes. Otherwise, I'd give the needles 5 stars.

I really like these bamboo knitting needles. This circular one is great because the bamboo holds on to the stitches good and the cord is very flexible. It says that you can dip the cord in a pan of hot water and it gets softer, although mine is soft already. I have purchased other circular cords and found that I like these and the Addi brand the best. I highly recommend this item.

I was very happy to find this tiny size knitting needle through Amazon. Stores just do not carry these very small sizes. The needles arrived in very short time, and were very reasonably priced, both in product and shipping. Love Clover needles!
