If your dog loves the pool as much as ours, then this is perfect fun for them!

We have two terriers that jump, dive, and just go plain nuts with these in the pool. These toys are pretty darn durable too. The dogs are always biting them apart (terriers) and tossing the batteries around and the fish are easily put back together and work just fine. They've been buried in the dirt, survived long stays in the pool and rain and still work great. Just get plenty of batteries!

I got this toy for my 9 month old son to use in the pool or bath. It's propeller is safe for him to put his fingers into and this is a very well made product. Very cute too and easy to handle. It's not at all small. It goes very fast. So fast my son looses track of it after a few seconds. If you use it in the bathtub when it's turned on it just runs around the edge of the tub in a circle. There's no diving and dipping. I was afraid to use it at the community pool because it goes so fast that it would get away from us. However this sounds like a lot of fun for an older child who can go fish for it. My husband thought it was really fun and my son will surely get more use out of it when he's older. So I don't really know if it dives/dips in a larger space like a pool.

This fish is bound to our bathtub where it quickly circles the perimeter bumping into walls (too bad the mouth isn't a soft rubber instead of hard plastic). It's fast and the propeller is soft to touch and won't hurt the little ones. When the magnet baby is attached, it doesn't swim as elegant so I leave it off. The device is activated by rotating the two halves of the fishes torso. Care must be taken when rotating to prevent the halves from separating and getting water inside the battery compartment. After one set of corroded batteries, we now separate the two halves after each use to air dry the inside. Overall it's a fun/inexpensive bathtub distraction toy.

I purchased this product about 4 years ago, but Amazon just invited me to review it, so here goes. My son was about 2 yrs old when we purchased Clowny for bath time. He loved it, but unfortunately it didn't last long - just stopped working within a few months. Had it been more durable, I would consider getting another one for our youngest (almost 17 months). Would not recommend.
