Overall Great Game ! Can't wait for the next!,

This is a great game for any mystery fan. The mystery is not simple, but not overly complex. The three settings and additional characters are also fantastic. There are numerous challenging puzzles and mini-mysteries to solve throughout the game. Additionally, the graphics and sounds are superb! I found that gameplay was quite easy and the game was really user-friendly. I experienced NO bugs/crashes while playing and highly reccomend this product!

Clue Fatal Illusion is a wonderful mystifying game full of gorgeous graphics. It does take some time and patience to get through it;however, it is definetly worth it! The new and interesting characters added were a nice change from the typical Clue gang. I found the puzzles challenging and fun. The many short cinematics were great to watch. This game may run slow on older computers but it worked great for me! I highly recommend this one!

Wow! What can I say about this game? When everything is working (i.e., Patches are in place), this game is addicting as heck! Great graphics, puzzles, etc. make it a blast! Many people had problems with the installation, but if the patches are downloaded before starting the game, you should enjoy every minute of it. Not too hard as to be overly frustrating, but hard enough that you didn't finish it in a short amount of time. Similar to "The 7th Guest", but with a better storyline. Highly recommended to mystery game buffs

I dont know what everyone else's reviews have said but beleieve me this game is awesome! The graphics are out of this world, and its very suspenseful. There's a murder or dead body around every corner, and you get to firgure out who did it! The ending was the best, it took me and my brother at least 24 hours, (not all at once of course), to solve this mystery. It's a really great buy! ~Andrea

Clue is a mystery,

This game has excellent graphics and was fun to play UNTIL the problems began. If you have time to waste downloading a patch from Hasbro Interactive, (didn't work for my game), and restarting from the beginning, then it probably would be a very good game. I never did make it to the end of the game. I returned Clue for another title. I'm a fan of mystery, but this game was too much of a "mystery" getting it to work for me. Better luck to you.

Nice graphics do not a game make. This game is not only slow ,and it's interface clumsy, it is also very buggy. I spent almost as much time reloading as I did playing. The story is cool enough (although a little more background would"ve made it much better),and the graphics and animations are pretty good but, the SLOW gameplay and frustrating control make this one a labor to get through. SKIP IT and save yourself the headache!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CLUE CHRONICLES?
First off, you may notice a couple of things: 1. This is called Clue CHRONICLES 2. It is refered to as EPISODE 1 sometimes. 3. It is a 1999 game with no sequel Why is this? Well, Clue Chronicles was from Hasbro Interactive and EAI. EAI quit the gaming business and Hasbro quit computer games and was left with board games. So, the promising series was "doomed." If you enjoy this game, I advise you to write into Atari. Why Atari? Well, Hasbro was left with all their computer games. They passed all the rights to Infogrames, which became Atari. So, in the complicated and confusing Clue Chronicles Timeline, the rights are held with Atari. I will, and if you like the game you should too, write to Atari and ask for a sequel. Now, for the real review. MY REVIEW: Clue Chronicles follows the story of 11 unlucky party guests on a mysterious yacht owned by Ian Masque. After he drops dead, the mystery begins. Did a box kill him? So it seems...Join the old cast-Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Professer Plum, and Mrs. White-along with a new cast of characters including-Marina Popov, Julia Kell, Sabata, Martin Urfe, and (for a short time) Ian Masque. You are a detective. Nobody has ever met this man is person, what did he want with them, and you? There is an answer. But you need to play the game to find it out. With an airtight plot that doesn't stop-even after the story ends-you will be gasping for breathe at the heartstopping cliffhanger ending! MY GRADES: Story 10/10-Well thought out with an unexpected ending Gameplay 6/10-Minor Glitches that don't effect the gameplay, but involve disappearing characters in the background Soundtrack-9/10-Music mostly fits the scenes VO 9/10-The voiceovers are great except for one small part towards the end Graphics 8/10-Its an old game-that about sums it up, no? FINAL A- Will always be a favorite...

"It is the Eve Before the World Changes....",

I grew up playing "Clue" with my sister and cousins, and no one could possibly love the board game more than me: it is a quintessential part of my childhood memories. So when I saw that it was a PC game - well, I just had to buy it!
The result was both good and bad. Though it was wonderful to see my favourite Clue characters move and speak right there before me, the game-play and the underlying mystery was both dull and confusing. After an exciting opening sequence that reveals a murder on an Egyptian excavation site, the game opens on board "the Rhine Maiden", the luxury cruise liner of the eccentric Ian Masque. You play a private investigator, and have been invited by Masque on board the boat to see in the New Year and mingle with his unique collection of guests. Along with the familiar Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard, Mrs Peacock, Mrs White and Mr Green (who is not a Reverend here, but a playboy), there is also a hypnotist, a psychiatrist, a magician and a clairvoyant artist whose sketches foretell the future. But before the party can begin in the magnificent chateau built upon the mountain side, Masque is killed by a mysterious puzzle box. With the host dead, you must halt the boat, ride the cable car to the chateau, and mingle there with the other guests admits an Alpine blizzard... It all sounds wonderfully sinister and mysterious, and to a point it is. The atmosphere is both tense and opulent, and the interiors of the boat and chateau are beautifully rendered - in particular the macabre and spooky chateau was so beautiful I wish it was a real place that I could visit! Likewise the "Clue" characters look, sound and behave exactly as I imagined they would - with the exception of Green, as previously mentioned. Scarlett, Plum and White in particular embody their stereotypical characters perfectly. But the story itself left something to be desired. It is an extremely easy game (made even easier due to the fact that hints could be accessed from the toolbar) and most experienced gamers could whiz through it in no time. Most of the game is taken up not with a whodunit or a mystery, but with a basic treasure hunt, as you look around the chateau for six jewels. There are no hidden motivations, secret desires or tangled webs of secrecy among the guests, and conversations with them are painfully restricted. Often, the creators seem to run out of ideas on how to use their characters - Peacock, Mustard and Plum are so one-dimensional that they didn't even really need to be in the game at all. Red herrings float around everywhere (which are mostly characters blaming things on other characters) and background stories (such as Peacock's scandalous affair) are needless. Finally, at the end of the game when all is revealed, you realise that it makes very little sense. Some characters die for absolutely no reason and certain components of the game (such as White's involvement and the opening sequence) are not explained at all. By the end of the game I wasn't quite sure what had just happened, or why. So yes, it was ultimately a little disappointing: both too simplistic and too confusing. However, I don't regret my purchase, as exploring this beautiful game and meeting these famous characters was something I really enjoyed. Despite its faults, it was fun while it lasted - and on more than one occasion it made me jump! Make sure you watch the closing credits, as they come with small pictures that reveal more about what the other characters were doing during the game.

This is a great game for puzzel lovers and isn't easy. This is a great game to play on stormy dark night. Sharpen your detective skills with jewels to find murders to solve and a party to save. Just when you think you have it figured out something new happens. Even if you play it again and again you will discover something new every time. Trust me you will never be bored.
