4.0 out of 5 stars Good Soundtrack., November 12, 2001
This review is from: Clueless: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
The movie is good and this CD is good despite the fact that they didn't put General Public's Tenderness and Jewel's song on this CD. Out of the 14 songs on this soundtrack I like 11 of the songs, Kids In America, Shake Some Action, The Ghost In You, Here, All The Yong Dudes, Fake Plastic Trees, Change, Need You Around, Alright, Rollin' With My Homies and Supermodel. Though I was disappointed that Tenderness wasn't on the CD I found a CD called The 80's New Wave and Tenderness is one of the songs on it and I also bought General Public's All The Rage, Tenderness is on that CD also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get A Clue!, December 23, 2002
This review is from: Clueless: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
As far as movie soundtracks go, this is one of the best. The movie rocks, as does this movie. The only problem is that they neglected to include "Just A Girl" (by No Doubt) which you could hear in the first Jeep scene. That definitely should have been included on this soundtrack. Otherwise, this is a great soundtrack! One of my favorite songs is the first track, "Kids In America" by The Muffs. I hate how Nickelodeon has turned that song into this little kiddy pop anthem. All of the other songs are really good, too. It really does capture the movie and you can see scenes in your head while you listen to this CD. This is probably one of the most different CD's I own because it really sounds like an early Nineties album. I really like it still to this day, and you will, too. I really reccomend this soundtrack to anyone, and I reccomend the movie to anyone also because they both rock. Until next time, this soundtrack and the movie, Clueless, it was based off of both rock! Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Lacking but Entertaining, March 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Clueless: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Not only did they leave out Jewl's "All By Myself," but they also left out a hard to find Cranberries song ("Turn Away"), and General Public's "Tenderness" which sets the tone for the movie's ending. For die hard Clueless fans like myself, there should be another soundtrack that captures more of the film's memories. Still, this one is good. I had a hard time deciding between 3 or 4 stars.

I completely agree with the other reviewer. The whole reason I came here was to find the final track that plays in the movie ("Tendernes") and was surprised not to find it in the compliation!

Not my favorite movie ever, but it was good, and the music was even better. This is your typical mid-90's mostly alternative soundtrack. Some good covers too. "Ghost In You" and "All The Young Dudes" are great. Also good alt-rock from Radiohead, Lightning Seeds, and Supergrass. The Beastie Boys track is their older punkish stuff, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones song is actually what made me get this disc. It's so catchy. The rest is decent. At this point, look for it used.

4.0 out of 5 stars As soundtracks go, this one rocks, May 16, 2001

I'm an avid reader of Amazon's CD reviews but have never felt the need to write one.. until now. C'mon people, this is a great CD. At the very least, it's the only released recording of Velocity Girl's "My Forgotten Favorite," which doesn't seem to appear in the movie but is nonetheless (honestly) one of the greatest songs ever recorded. On top of that you have great tracks by Radiohead, Counting Crows and Beastie Boys, and fun punkish tunes like "Where'd You Go?" and "Supermodel" and "Need You Around". No, it's not perfect, and it's missing some good songs from the movie (which are probably more worthy of inclusion) but it's worth owning nonetheless. At least 4 stars.

I bought the sound track after watching the movie and have to say i was slightly disapointed, there are songs in the movie that are not on the sound track and unfortunatley it is the better songs that are missing. Although there are four songs on the cd that i do like so im happy, this is great to listen to if your feeling down because youll be brought streight back up again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like a totally cool soundtarck, October 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Clueless: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I have to say this is one of the best soundtrax I have, and I have a lot! Apart from missing 'Just a girl', this is a really cool C.D. Wheneva I listen to this I remember bits of the film, and how I totally loved it. I take it & listen to it in my Discman where ever I go. The best songs have 2 be 'kids in America', 'shake some action' & 'supermodel'! If you liked the film then by the Sondtrack! I did!
