Cluster Command is better than other cluster activities., September 5, 2011
This review is from: Cluster Command: Crisis of Empire II (Paperback)
The combination of authors Dietz and Drake in Command Cluster, is a good example of their early work, i.e. about 1980. Through out their careers both have emphasized interest in the military style hero. I also have the impression that Drake enjoys co-writing more than Dietz. I have been able to anticipate an interesting story from either author.

Determination, November 29, 2001
This review is from: Cluster Command: Crisis of Empire II (Paperback)
Loving a story of the determination and courage of one to fight the system, and the pitting of personal honor against expedience and letter of the law. Drake builds a solid, rugged individual in the character of General Merikur, a man forced to choose between the right, and the law. He is placed into a position to spy on a leader accused of treason, and later becomes wrapped up in it himself.
