5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tips and Advice July 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Getting the ball rolling is the hardest part when it comes to organizing and "decluttering" your home. I didn't know where to start at first, so I turned to my Kindle for inspiration. The Clutter Antidote is an easy and well put together read. I particularly like the section on the 12-18 month test. There has to be a rhyme or reason for what get's thrown out and what stays. This little test stuck with me throughout my project. I highly recommend this book and it is well worth the small cost to download it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decluttering is therapeutic July 13, 2012

I like this book because it goes straight to the point. No fluff. It's a great resource to start cleaning and decluttering your house. I totally agree with the author when she says that de-cluttering makes your life run smoother. In my personal experience, a clutter house is a reflection of a cluttered mind. When I'm stressed out my house gets a little bit more messy. Decluttering my house makes me feel good, it calms me down somehow. This book describes that process very well.

I've read a lot of books about decluttering lately and I can definitely say that this one it's worth your time and money. It provides actionable tips and ideas you can put into action right now.

Picked up this little book today just to get some ideas on how to organize my new house. It's a small home, so I need to do everything I can to keep it clutter-free.

This book actually covers everything from specific rooms to organizing your cabinets and drawers. There are some great tips in this book and I recommend it for anyone looking to create a better space.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clutter Antidote October 14, 2012
By DanaRae

Great read, practical suggestions, commentaries on why we develop clutter and how to change our attitude and mindset. I constantly battle clutter and have read a number of books, many of which have been helpful, but Kaur finally motivated me to identify the areas and issues of clutter in my live and decide to do something about them, in an organized manner. For anyone who's fighting to organize their clutter (and thereby their minds and lives), this is a a wonderful place to start.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good tips, quick read August 29, 2012
By T. G.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read quite a few different decluttering books over the years but this one was the shortest (and that's not a bad thing). It contained all of the essential decluttering tips in a simple and easy to read format that included quick action steps to get you started on your task. Good luck with your uncluttering!

3.0 out of 5 stars Stars for effort December 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Although I didn't get a lot out of this book I do have two places to comment. When "flagging" your clothes, instead of using a sticky note (which wastes a lot of paper for each individual item), place the hanger in backwards. When you wear that item, simply switch the hanger to the correct way. The second point to make is medicines should never be kept in the bathroom medicine cabinet. This shortens the expiration date and can weaken the dosage amount. Medicines should be kept in a cool, dark place such as a pantry but made sure child proofing measures are taken.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple April 14, 2013

Even though this book was very short I found it sort of refreshing to already well known ideas when it comes to decluttering and organizing. I liked that the author addressed the true fact that decluttering truly begins in your head. And being in your cluttered house does not bring you the kind of peace that you'd hope to find in your own home. Overall it was quite basic (which is good if you start from square one). I liked the idea of labeling a box with a future date but no other clarifying info (the items that you didn't want to part with but don't need to use just yet) and if you haven't used it by that date to throw it out without looking inside :). That was new.
