About the Author

Rosemary Chieppo has been an organizing guru since 1999. Her business is called "Born to Organize" because she was! Rosemary's lighthearted, down-to-earth approach to organizing is more Rachael Ray than Martha Stewart. "Being organized does not mean your house looks like something out of Architectural Digest. It doesn't mean everything is perfect, just that it works for you, " she says. Rosemary is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and addresses organizations on topics including clutter control and time management. Rosemary lives in Connecticut.

As a chronic pack rat and the owner of three other books on organizing, totaling 697 pages, I was delighted to come across this handy little volume. In a mere 88 pages, CLUTTER, CHAOS AND THE CURE cuts right to the chase, telling you all you need to know to make getting organized easy, fun and so rewarding. The author has a great sense of humor, understands the psychology of clutterers, and offers a multitude of valuable, easy to follow hints. Her top five organizing tips, on one and a half pages, are worth buying the book for! I refer back to them constantly. Even the illustrations amuse.
Highly recommended!

This book taught me a lot. Two of the most useful chapters were "Clutter for a Cause," which advises the reader where to donate just about anything, and "It's Baaack!", which addresses relapses. And everyone will recognize themselves in the chapter called "Sound Familiar." All in all, an easy to read and fun book that supplies a spoonful of sugar to make the organizing medicine go down.

My wife bought this book. I found it lying around the house and picked it up. A real eye opener. The book is witty, useful and to the point. I do a lot of reading in Zen and in a funny, down to earth way it touches on some of the themes of holistic living. A worthwhile read.

Our house is busting out of the seams with books. So we are always looking for ways to organize our books in all shapes and sizes. The author has written a book that is easy to read, while providing generous practical advice. Rosemary's suggestions on organizing books, and children's rooms found on pages 37-43 were extremely beneficial for our family. An additional benefit found throughout the book are the contact names, addresses and websites of various vendors, and companies that all supply products and support for addressing the clutter. By supplying this type of information, the reader is left with no room for procrastination or excuses for not getting organized. Finally, a surprising sweetness found in the book are the many comical illustrations and quotes that pack a punch in support of the importance for organizing our life.

Love this book! Its breezy and easy to read. The suggestions are simple yet things I never thought of or have not thought of in ages. My favorite chapter is A"Breathe-Easy" Holiday. When is the last time you had a breathe-easy holiday? Read this book it is a must have and a great great gift for the person who has everything but organization.
