I gifted my 12 year old niece with this book. I wasn't sure how she was going to respond to a book about cleaning up her mess of a bedroom but the ideas are straight forward, fun and easy to put into practice. She immediately read several of the sections and went about setting her space up into 'zones'. We have done several of the craftier ideas together, spending time doing a fun project, while all the while working towards a more organized space.

What a great book! My daughter took it from the mailbox straight to her room and read it cover to cover! Within a day her room was right on track to experience complete clutter removal! I was so impressed!

A few months ago I bought this book for my 9-year-old daughter who is very disorganized (she has ADHD.) She loved the ideas in the book about zones and actually implemented some of them. The reason I'm writing this review is because this week, she pulled the book out in an attempt to organize her backpack and she did a great job. It just goes to show that she connected with the book, found it helpful, and reached for it when she identified something that needed organizing. Many kids want to be organized but they just don't know how - in fact the doctor told us that kids with ADHD just don't think the same way about organization as those without it. This book seems to be a good tool for those kinds of girls!

My daughter received this as a birthday present for her 10th birthday. She loved the book and her room has never looked better! She is even giving me great ideas for organizing the rest of the house.

I purchased this book hoping it would help my 7-year old organize her room/toys. IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I don't know how long it will work, but she (I helped) went through everything in her room/closet and found a designated place. She would read one paragraph at a time and do as the book said. She told me cleaning was fun with me. LOL. That's a first! She LOVED the chart that you answer questions and decide to keep, donate or trash an item. I am impressed. All week she has said "Mom, is it time for clutter control?"

My daughter got this book the first time from the library. It really helped her see how she could get a handle on her room. A lot of the ideas are very similar to FlyLady.net ideas, but in language aimed at the 8-12 year old girl. What my daughter really loves is how it equips her to handle her room without needing mom's help.

I bought it for my daughter couple years back when she was 7. Her room is still messy but, after this book, it's not as bad as it's used to be before. I'd say the book is better be read by older kids who are conscious enough to understand the reasons why clutter should be controlled and it's not just to avoid parental nagging.

Great tips and ways to reduce clutter. Our Granddaughter used many of the suggestions, it was fun to watch her do and re-do her room. Gave her some independence.
