I don't normally do reviews on items because I am aa easily pleased person. But, I had to do this so that other people don't make the same mistake I did. This book is awful. The disk has tons of forms ALL of which are either bogus writing which is hard to undersatnd OR are TOTALLU useless. Plus, they are done SO POORLY that a high school student could create a better document.

The book is nothing but forms and fruity language. It really gives a BAD name to the coaching profession. I think it is a noble life path and I happent o be on it. After reading this I am afraid to think that some coaches use this as a guideline for their work. If my coach spoke this way to me I would be offended and feel like I was being used for money.

I HOPE THAT NOBDY WHO SERIOUSLY CONSIDERS BECOMING A COACH USES THIS AS ANY SORT OF A GUIDE!

This book is almost identical to "The Coaching Starter Kit. It is mostly forms to be used in coaching. The good thing about this book is that all the forms are on a CD.

I am currently attending classes to become a certified "life coach", and have been searching for a book that would provide me with additional resources that I could use during my coaching sessions with clients.

Although I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ordered "Coach U's Essential Coaching Tools", I must say that it has exceeded my expectations! This book is literally jam packed with great assessment tools, checklists, forms & ideas - perfect for both the new & seasoned coach. Plus, it includes a CD-ROM so that all of the information can easily be downloaded onto your computer, and printed out as needed.

Overall, I would highly recommend this resource to anyone in the coaching business!

I purchased this book as my very first coaching book. I do addiction counseling and life coaching and was hoping to find some valuable assessment tools and resources for life coaching. The forms are very contrite and lack any substance. I don't talk or think the way the author does. I would never coach this way, nor would I ever pay anyone to coach me using these forms or ideas. Poorly written and poorly developed! Not much going for this book from an academic or professional viewpoint. I found the book helpful only in that it helped define what I will absolutely NEVER do as a coach.

I bought this book hoping for useful ideas and a few practice development forms. Instead, the book is a set of wasteful forms, questionnaires, and the like that a 10th grader must have created. It is a waste of time for anyone with their own word processor.

Most of this is the same material provided by Coach U in the early days as part of their tuition costs.

There are some great forms tucked inside this book, but it is buried in a lot of "fluff" that doesn't lend itself to a form layout.

For starters I can understand why some people don't like this book of tools. It's not full of theory or talking about coaching.

It's simply a pack of extremely powerful life-changing tools that you can use to facilitate, transformations and growth in your clients.

It's literally a gold mine of different forms, checklists, coaching programs for almost any situation.

As a professional coach I know the value of have a 100-point checklist and working with a client to increase their score. It puts things into measurable terms, allows you and them to see progress and helps you set-benchmarks. Plus measured results in coaching tends to lead to repeat business and referrals.

Ignore the bad reviews they wouldn't know a diamond of a resource if it ran over them.
