Today dieters are more frustrated than ever before: Neither restrictive dieting nor a moderate middle-of-the-road approach has curtailed the obesity epidemic. As professional weight loss coaches, Greg Hottinger and Michael Scholtz have developed a new weight loss paradigm that has produced impressive results for the Biggest Loser Club online members. Hottinger and Scholtz's unique strategy helps readers identify the obstacles that are sabotaging their weight loss and gives them Five Stepping-Stones to Change: a series of physical, emotional, and social guidelines to help them break through their barriers.

Coach Yourself Thin will help you lose weight by:
- giving you a sustainable, nutritionally balanced eating plan
- laying out the basics of fitness and helping you create personalized workout strategies that fit your lifestyle
- providing tools, techniques, and hands-on exercises for changing your habits

Packed with success stories and solid instruction and inspiration, Coach Yourself Thin is a guide to becoming self-aware, breaking the frustrating dieting cycle, and designing a personal plan for lasting weight loss success.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revolutionary Complete Solution To Take Control December 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
As a student of Heath & Wellness since loosing 70 lbs and keeping it off for the past 3 years, I feel "Coach Your Self Thin" is the most well rounded complete solution to the "battle of the buldge". This book is revolutionary because it puts the reader in a driver seat to take back control forever. It takes the best of the latest diet & exercise information and couples it with "Beck" psychology to help create the healthy behavior. By first training your brain to overcome your own negative thinking, misconceptions, and barriers you will then be able to use the tools in the book. Topics are often followed by a self reflecting quiz and "aha moment" exercise. Each chapter lays a building block to a new attitude and dicipline. Testimonials are sprinkled throught the book help the reader find common ground. This book is an arsenal of information to lose weight and keep it off. If you are ready to overcome the barriers keeping you from being healthy then buy this book. Commit with your mind and you will see change.

What Coach Yourself Thin is about is getting your health journey started from beginning to end. This book is a resource for eating guidelines, exercise expertise, and dealing with mindset and motivation issues we all face in our health journey. A great resource book to own and to reread as needed. Everything is explained in understandable terms. Does it work? After losing 100 lbs with Greg and Michael's coaching -- My answer is a resounding YES!!!

Format:Paperback
I have read a lot of diet, fitness, and wellness books. And like many people, I've tried quick weight-loss schemes and extreme exercise regimens--all of which resulted in short-term success and long-term failure. When I read this book, I felt relieved--and supported. In it, I found clear, concise information about adopting a wellness lifestyle, not about engaging in destructive dieting and exercise. The authors are clearly experts in their field--with a deep understanding of human nature and what keeps us from healthy living. The chapters on obstacles really provided some light-bulb moments for me. This book has provided me with a resource I will use over and over again--and the inspiration to really look at what stories I've told myself about fitness, and how to tell healthier stories about who I am in the world. I'll be recommending this to friends for sure.
