Great beginning coaches book, July 10, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Rookie Coaches Wrestling Guide (Paperback)
This was the first book I read on wrestling. I had very little background in the sport and did not wrestle as a youth. My son's program needed coaching help. This book was a good starter book. Along with the basic wrestling information it introduced, it also had valuable administrative and coaching tips. Positive attitude and reminders on what makes a good role model and youth coach are emphasized throughout the text. I recommend this book for other beginner wrestling coaches.

This book is the A-z of basic wrestling coaching for new wrestlers and coaches alike. This book should be the first book purchased by any youth wrestling club and a prerequisite for any new coach of wrestling. It not only provides excellent ideas to teach youth wrestlers but is done in such a way your volunteer coaches understand and and can teach like veterans. A real winne

An insightful book, March 6, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Rookie Coaches Wrestling Guide (Paperback)
This book is really informative on the basics of coaching wrestling, from communicating, teaching, first aid, scheduling practices, and drills. Though it lacks wrestling moves themself. It gives the most out of a sixty-three page book.
