After cheering for her high school and college, Linda started her own business at the age of 23, the Dynamic Cheerleaders Association, Inc. (DCA). With DCA she established cheerleading camps at college and university campuses in 30 states, trained her staff of some 350 college cheerleaders to conduct the camps, and conducted six national cheerleading championships. Through DCA she also established a national mail-order business for cheerleaders clothing, accessories, and educational materials.
Linda has presented numerous seminars, clinics, and workshops for cheerleading coaches and advisors, and has delivered motivational seminars at national coaches conventions.
A prolific author, she has written on spirit raising and leadership, sportsmanship, fund-raising, and coach training. Her first book, The Spirit Book, has been referred to by many coaches as the "cheerleading Bible." She also has supervised production of books and videos on safety rules for the National Federation of State High School Associations, and she has produced and directed instructional videos in cheer and dance.
In 1986 Linda established a coed cheerleading squad for the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL football team), coaching the squad until 1990.
Linda, a member of the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association, is a former cheerleading director for the Midwest Missouri Youth Sports Association. In 1987 she earned her masters in educational administration from the University of Missouri.

An AWESOME book for new coaches,
This review is from: Coaching Cheerleading Successfully (Coaching Successfully Series) (Paperback)
A very informative book for new coaches or as a refresher for more established coaches. Covers alot of organizational information regarding cheerleading practices, try-outs and how-to's for starting a new program. I also used this book to inform parents and school board officials on establishing a school program. No coach should be without this book!

The best book available for cheerleading coaches!,

This book is recommended for cheerleading coaches at all levels. It covers planning practices, motivating your squad, dealing with parents and other "coach" type stuff that other books do not even mention. Since cheerleading is a hands-on sport, you'll need to obtain other instruction on how to perform jumps, stunts and dances. If you are a coach, you'll like this book.

This is perfect for beginners as well as long time coaches!,

I enjoyed this book! I use it with every turn in cheerleading coaching. I have been coaching for the last 11 years and this is one of the best resources that I have come across. I use this for both my All Star Team as well as my Varsity High School Team. This is perfect for the coach or advisor, however I would not suggest this book be viewed by the cheerleaders. This would confused them more than what they are already when any season starts. Coaches get your hands on this one!
