A must have for Offensive and Defensive coaches,
This review is from: Coaching the Multiple West Coast Offense (Art & Science of Coaching) (Paperback)
This is truly a great book. Well put together in all aspects. The in depth view on quarterback mechanics, route running for recievers make this a must have. Not to mention, Mr Jenkins breaks down the west coast offense better than any book to date. He leaves room for creativity, yet it's still the same system. The call sheet in the front of the book, and the free plays in the back are definately a bonus. For you defensive coaches, the chapter on O-line protection will definately enhance your blitz preparation for any team. Not to mention, it will better help your game plan in general of how to better control the game on the defensive side of the ball.

Right along the lines with Coverdale and Robinson's work, even though I'm not a west coaster I found myself going back to this book again and again this season looking for new wrinkles and techniques. A very thorough book and I must agree the VERY BEST of the West Coast Offense books dare I say even superior to Bill Walsh's mammoth tome.Game plan, technique, teaching methods, offensive line, qb and receiver play, and run game its all here!! And best of all its all very adaptable to what ever you may be running. KUDOS I say again to Coach Jenkins and Ditto with all the other positive reviewers, this books is a MUST HAVE.

One of the best!,

The book was a gift from one of my assistant coaches who is trying to get me to use this system. Although I am very set in my ways, the book does make me think. It's very well written, with a lot of great information. In my view, this is most likely the best football book on the market today. I am a "run first" football coach, but the Jenkins' pass system seems extremely easy to learn and teach. He lays out the basic QB reads, and is making a believer out of me now. There seems so much that can be learned from this book, that I have to put it down at times to digest all the information. The added quarterback section is also one of the best I have ever seen on the passing game. This QB section could be a book all by itself. As I stated before, this is probably the best book on the market today, with respect to offensive football!

I just received my copy of the book and could not put it down. It was worth waiting for. After reading the chapter on QB technique, I took my starting QB out and starting working with him. His accuracy improved right away. The section on QB reads was very, very helpful. After looking at films of our privious games, I found I can use almost every read Jenkins' wrote about. I have decided to buy his video on QB Reads to help our passing game. Just a fantastic book.

I have read "Finding The Winning Edge", "The West Coast Offense", and "Developing An Offensive Game Plan" along with other books on football and I can say with all honesty that this book is by far the best of the group. It's a technique book, it's an offensive system book, and it even has a call sheet which will help our team. This book is well worth the money and much better than the website. The best book on the market today and I am buying his videos now as well.

A great, great book!,

This is an excellent book! This is the easiest of all the west coast books to read and understand. It has much more information than the other books and I finally understand this offense. I read Finding the Winning edge and it was hard to follow. This book had the same information written in a format that was easy to understand. The "basic reads" section was excellent. Anyone could understand what I thought was a complicated offense. I would recommend this book to any coach at the high school level and beyond.

Coaching the Multiple West Coast Offense is an outstanding resource for all those coaches who run the West Coast Offense. I use the WCO for my High School Team and AAA Minor League Team, and this book has helped me review and revise some of the schemes that I use. Its a must read!!John G. I go to all the clinics and buy all the books but this is by far one of the best sources of information on offensive football I have come across. Great information and I am concidering changing my offensive system to this one. It's easy to understand and my coaching staff and I think this well expand our offense many times over and make it easier for our players to understand. This has got so much more information than his website. Our team got beat this year by a school that uses this system. Their offense consistantly keeps the ball away from us and scores 30 plus points a game.

Best Coaching Book Out There,

This review is from: Coaching the Multiple West Coast Offense (Art & Science of Coaching) (Paperback)
This is the best "coaching" book on the market right now. I am a high school coach and this has everything. The is much better that Bill Walsh's book in that I can actually use this information right now. It has a call sheet, tells me how to teach quarterbacks how to drop back and read coverages, tells me how to teach receivers the different routes and give me lots of plays to use.I highly recommend it!

The added chapter on installing the offense made this a great book. The offense is very easy to understand, and the forward to the book explained what a great offense this is. The practice plan was very excellent, and we are going to adopt it at my school. The completed call sheet was amazing. This is the best book on offense. I am now trying to run down his books on quarterbacks and receiver play! The new chapter was well worth buying the book again...
