I'm a certified professional coach and coach trainer, co-founder of a coach training school, and have been in coaching for about a decade. I run a large on-line coaching bookstore at Coach22 dot com where you can see my complete body of work--I've written seven coaching books and a dozen coach training courses in addition to creating numerous CDs and DVDs. I also founded the Christian Coaching Center, a consortium of 20 coaches who provide free information on coaching through hundreds of articles and posts.
Because service is an important value to me, I am on the board of an organization that provides coaching in emerging nations, and I've launched an Open Source coach training movement to make advanced coaching skills training courses more accessible for ministries, non-profits and overseas endeavors. I also lead a relational network of coaches that focuses on joining together in acts of generosity and service, and building coaches into authentic, accountable communities that walk with each other in their vocation.
I've created several coach training programs that are used around the world, a plethora of training CDs, DVDs and course outlines, and seven books. My latest, the Christian Life Coaching Handbook, focuses on the oft-overlooked areas of calling (as an external commission from God for others), suffering and sacrifice in producing an on-purpose life. I am currently doing research for a book on calling time lines and the developmental process leaders go through as they move toward their calling.
In my coaching practice I help leaders meet God in difficult circumstances, transitions or wilderness times, because anything that happens to you can produce growth in character if you meet God in the midst of it.
As a trainer, I focus on teaching practical tools and techniques that produce transformation (deep, lasting, significant change), using a highly-interactive, adult learning approach.
