If you have a basic understanding of what the single wing looks like, then this is the next best step for you in your studies of this offense. If you've never seen footage of a single wing team, spend some time on YouTube and then buy this book. It'll make some of the diagrams easier to follow.

I've read/own a number of books on the single wing, dating back half a century. This book will provide you with the formations, blocking system, and series necessary to bring the single wing to life against a modern opponent. Coach Ahern focuses mostly on the full spin and power series, with some information about the buck lateral. Of special interest is his system for incorporating spread formations into the traditional single wing attack.

You will perhaps find more series/plays in other books, but I think Ahern's system is more intuitive than many older systems that you will find in other books. Ahern is really the place to start your single wing book collection. Once you understand his stuff, you can start looking into the older books for wrinkles to add.

This book offers a good overview of several of the main packages or series that can be ran using the Single Wing Attack. This is a good start but also may require that a coach have some experience already in looking at diagrams. Good book!
