  • Contains the distribution and reserves of coal deposits worldwide

  • Offers a summary of coal sales and marketing opportunities

  • Includes International Standards listing

  • Includes an update on global coal reserves and productionStarting with background information on coal and all its properties, the book focuses on techniques used for coal exploration, and the geophysical and hydrogeological investigations of coal deposits.

Suitable for mining geologists, engineers, developers and other professionals working in the coal industry. Would also be beneficial for libraries, coal societies, oil/gas companies, and national and state geological surveys. This book would make an ideal reference for undergraduates taking courses in coal geology, petroleum geology, coal petrology, stratigraphy, sedimentary and mining engineering.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Introductory Text, September 25, 2010

This review is from: Coal Geology (Hardcover)
This item was purchased for our Firm's corporate library - and as such one tends to 'hope for the best, but...'

This is actually a very good book, and one that from an introduction to the subject of Coal's perspective potential purchasers should consider.

Whilst technically it is not overly 'heavy' it provides a broad, well structured and well informed introduction to the subject.
