More shots of women, please
A fascinating book if you are interested in the daily psychological pressure faced by the wives and mothers of Virginian mining communities. Marginally less interesting if, like me, you were expecting to see grainy shots of dirty, topless women strip mining in their bedrooms.

"Portraits"
"Portraits" indeed. There was not one portrait, either photographic or drawn. What a disappointment. I will look elsewhere next time.
