Not what I was looking for.,

This is a tough one to review. As a map light it is a poor choice. The light is a square of red light with A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE. That is right. The light is a chiclet like square of red light with a large dark hole in the middle. The only reason it isn't one star is that i think the entire thing is really an emergency beacon. The slow flash and faster flashing sequence work and are very bright. But even with the fiber optic wand the light at the end is not a uniform pattern and is a poor choice to read by. I think it is nice in an emergency to attract attention. But i wanted a map light that was red and small in weight and the light is just too weird in pattern to be acceptable.
