Long known as the definitive fish ID book for divers., June 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Coastal Fishes of the Pacific Northwest (Paperback)
What kind of fish was that we saw? What should we be looking for? Where do we look? What haven't we seen yet? Even experienced divers run into fish they haven't seen before or can't immediately identify. Knowing what to look for and where to find it makes for more dive satisfaction. Coastal Fishes by Andy Lamb and Phil Edgell has long been the definitive Pacific Northwest fish ID book.

I am glad I bought this book, October 21, 2007
This review is from: Coastal Fishes of the Pacific Northwest (Paperback)
I bought this book yesterday. I have been diving in the Pacific Northwest for two years now. I have been taking pictures for the last 6 months. The question everyone asks me about my pictures is "What fish is that?" So I decided I needed to learn more about the fish so I asked my Instructor what books he used and this was one of his favorites. I have been enjoying it. I used it until the wee hours of the night last night identifying all the fish in my pictures. So far its flawless and well written.
