If you don't know how to read a chart, this book is for you. It has comprehensive information necessary to learn about coastal navigation. Not a good replacement for actually being on the water and seeing the things charts show but a good book for the basics.

This is an instructional text used in some sailing schools to teach navigation in and around the coast. In that role it is an excellent book, easy to understand, easy to learn from.
