Too difficult to roll out on carpet from under the bed.
TinaMarie D.
I'm very happy with this product, it seems to be very sturdy and well constructed.

Someone that's stronger won't have a problem but not so strong a harder time.

Just purchased this frame - ships from CA. so took 1 week FedEx. Frame is heavy - is very sturdy and rolls easily on casters. NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! so refreshing. This will work well for my overnite guests. It stores under a twin daybed. I had researched this quite alot before purchasing - local stores and online - and I feel I got a good product at a good price. I put a Sam's Club twin mattress on this for $99.00. Would recommend.

I had one of these in our daughter's room. The mechanism that causes the bed to stay in the raised position can fail (easily) and, if you look at how the bed is built, the "X" design on the ends can scissor down on a child's head, arm, finger, etc. I am so sad to see that this design still exists. PLEASE be aware that this should not be in a home with children, and if it must be used please do so in the lowered position and tie it down so a child cannot raise it.

I was nervous after reading the other review about the safety of losing a hand and can see what they mean. Even though my kids are in their 20's, I was concerned about our small dogs going underneath and someone reaching under to pull them out. So, my hubby made two choks out of 2x4 wood- placed at the cross side on each end when open, from frame to floor. Everyone is happy that the dogs are safe. I wouldn't recommend this for a household with young children.

I purchased this trundle to go with the daybed that I had purchased from Amazon. When it was delivered(days after the daybed) it wasn't even in a box. Each end of the bed was covered with cardboard to about 6" down each end.The rails were secured with wire since I believe there's powerful springs when trundle is activated to bed height. There was also a few rolls of cardboard around some portions of the legs that were so loose they weren't good for anything. It came with a lot of scratches, a few dents, and the spring-like surface you put the mattress on is bent across one end near the frame. I'm hoping that once I put everything together it will work out okay. If Amazon can nicely package an entire daybed, why can't this other company put the trundle bed in a box? I can't remember the name of the other company because I have yet to find a packing slip. I'm sure it's taped under a little piece of cardboard somewhere. Thank you Amazon for your professionalism with your packaging and your timely delivery. Pat T

I cannot comment on this product's usability as it arrived without any packaging whatsoever, rails scratched and bent. I did not even remove the plastic ties holding it together flimsily. It was obviously going to be a problem. Why is a $200 bed not shipped properly packed? I am truly shocked.

I am surprised that Amazon even still sells this item. It's clear that they're trying to get rid of it as it arrived at my door without so much as a box on it. It was wrapped a couple places with tape or plastic just to keep it from opening, and a shipping label was affixed to that. The worst part about this is returning it. Amazon referred me to their bulk returns department who seemed friendly enough. That was July 7th. It is July 23rd today and I'm still waiting on someone to come pick this up. Thank goodness I have the extra space to hold it. I will post a picture of their lack of packing on this item for your consideration.

Actual review- nearly impossible to get the frame to do what you want it to do. Once you get it up, leave it up because once it's down, it wants to stay down. Should have listened to the other reviews. Get something else.

The springs to lift this mechanism are pretty strong - when first releasing the mechanism I almost got hit in the face and would have surely lost my teeth if I had. The whole concept made me very uncomfortable where a child could get caught under the mechanism and seriosly hurt. Eventaully it just broke and popped way up. Thank goodness nobody did get hurt but I will not have one of these in my house again. This was a lot of money wasted on this product.

overall it's nice....serves the purpose. it does have a tendency to "stick" when trying to raise it for use...but it's been ok when used...it does what you want it to...no frills, just your basic frame...good purchase
