Table was received on time and in amazingly careful packaging that would be impervious to damage.

For anyone considering it, the table is a very very very very dark brown color, with touches of black. I have it in a room with black pieces and had intentions of painting it but bought it anyway because its style matches my other furniture. Upon assembling the table, I decided I won't dare touch it ... it's just too beautiful the way it is.

The table looks like an expensive piece, not like RTA furniture at all. Well worth the price, in fact, would be worth a higher price. I highly recommend this item.

Looks exactly like the photo, sturdy when assembled correctly, finish will mar if not careful, came slightly damaged from factory (small nicks in shelves) but covered up with black ink. All the holes lined up, was nicely manufactured. It did have an overwhelming solvent/fumicide odor the first two days but is fine now. I would air this outdoors the next time. I really like this and am thinking of buying a second one.

Instructions are poor - here's a few hints:

Easier and faster to use a ratchet or electric screwdriver with a 5/32" allen bit, if you have it. Pieces have a good side and a rough side, make sure good sides are facing out. Table will be assembled upside down.

1) Stand sides upside down on floor, right sides out. Slide aprons into sides first, good sides out. Don't insert screws yet.

2) Attach middle shelf loosely with screws and washers, good side facing towards floor.

3) Attach bottom shelf loosely with screws and washers, good side facing towards floor. (Unit is still upside down)

4) Insert balance nuts into aprons and thread apron screws through them. Make sure aprons are sitting at right angles to floor - they can twist if you're not careful.

5) Tighten all screws making sure shelves sit squarely and line up with edges of sides.

6) Put table top face down on floor (on protective surface to prevent scratching - packing materials are good for this) and place tightened unit on top. Everything is still upside down. Screw base to top securely thru pre-drilled holes. Insert decorative plugs into side holes.

7) Turn it right side up and you have a very nice table.

As a full-time graduate student, I found it annoying to continuously run up and down the steps to put away my school books, binders, and notebooks; and then to retrieve them every day as I left for school. I chose to purchase a sofa table to keep my schoolbooks handy where I worked downstairs and also to have a flat surface for candles, appetizer trays for parties, etc.

My living room decor is red, beige, black, and tan. I was instantly attracted to the design of the sofa table and was very happy with the price as compared to other sofa tables that ran for $100-200 more than this one and seemed to be less functional/attractive. Upon assembling the table (which isn't too difficult - it will help if you have someone else there, but I was able to do it on my own just fine) I was pleased with how sturdy and solid the table feels. I have owned this table for many months now and continue to be pleased with the durability.

My ONLY con for this table is that on the two lower shelves, the paint is a bit rough and uneven. This is not a major issue for me, but you may want to consider purchasing a clear glaze coating for the shelves to smooth them out a bit if you experience the same problem.

Other than that, I remain very pleased with this product!

After the 20 minutes it took to open the package, I was prepared to say that was the most challenging part of assembly. As others have said, the reinforced corners were overkill. Worse yet, they blocked the label that would have told me which end of the box to open first to find the hardware that was dangling by a string inside. My guess is the reviewer who was missing the hardware wasn't able to find it buried at the other end way deep inside the packaging.

Then I got to the directions, determined that my mechanical prowess could easily tackle this thing. That was another 10 minutes, just trying to figure out which end was up -- literally -- and which screw parts to put in which hole. I still didn't get it right after I thought I was nearly done, and I had to take a shelf apart in order to turn the "apron" pieces the other direction. My guess with that one is that the other reviewer whose husband had to drill out larger holes made the same mistake I did, so it looked like the holes wouldn't fit. Eventually after about 45 minutes total, I got it all together although I'm still having to tighten the screws that hold the top on, because they come loose every time I move the piece.

My biggest disappointment was the damage on the two shelves. One has about a 2-inch long chip along the edge, which I thought I could just hide in the back till I realized the front edge has the same problem. (I sanded them down and touched them up with Old English first, then a Sharpie marker). The other shelf is warped a bit so the edges don't look quite finished right inside. I suppose this won't matter once things are on the shelf, as long as they aren't so heavy they compromise the strength. I'm too impatient to return anything and wait for replacements, so like others I decided I could live with it -- especially considering the price.

It is what it is. It actually looks really, really nice once it's put together and upright, a pleasant surprise after my anger while putting it together. And only you folks will know what I just shared about the flaws. All said, I'd buy it again.

I love this table. It matches well with my other table pieces. It is a very dark brown, Not black, keep that in mind. However I do have a black end table and it matched perfectly. You can hardly tell it is brown. I searched for a long time to find a sofa table that was the right size and style that I wanted. I love that it has three shelves. Perfect for displaying pictures. The space between the shelves is about 1 foot. Instructions weren't very clear, but once everything was out on the floor it was easy to figure it out. I put it together myself in about 45 minutes, I would recommend two people, it would go together a lot faster. Very stylish for the price paid!!!

Table is beautiful and looks great in my new home. It is exactly as described...the only complaint is that it came a day later than expected. Amazon items are usually early if not on time and I was anxious to get it. Great furniture piece.

Love this table, it is more of a light brown than a dark brown. Super cute and sturdy. Great buy.

The table came very well packed, however, there were no instructions included in the box. Spent a good portion of a day tracking down instructions.

For anyone considering buying this table, GO FOR IT! It is absolutely beautiful. Instructions are a bit vague but not anything a person with a brain can't figure out. The only complaint was that like other reviewers, it came with a slight chip in the wood. I plan to sand it down and paint over it later as adviced by other reviewers. Overall, it is a wonderful genuine wood table for an amazing price. I got the full set of tables that includes this sofa table, a coffee table, and two side tables and I couldn't be any happier.

Very impressed! First of all it was shipped and delivered super fast, and the packaging that it came in was unbeatable! Not only was it in a heavy duty box, they also added extra heavy duty protection on all sides and corners of the outside of the box as well... best packing job we have ever seen! The contents were also packed very well and organized, with all parts and pieces intact and in excellent shape. Then we were impressed to find that this table was made of SOLID WOOD with a beautiful finish (No particle board at all)! The table went together quick, easy and beautifully. We had custom glass pieces made to cover the three shelves. We love it!
