5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Breathtaking!
I truly believe this music has touched me unimaginably... What beauty! Simply an amazing CD... While I was listening I immediately was swept away and drifted into another land of purity, beauty, and joy. When it was all over I realized how the music I had just heard in no way resembled the youthful years of this amazing, young composer. Believe and trust me when I say...

2.0 out of 5 stars Certainly not a masterpiece
I dont know if this is anywhere near what I thought it might of been. I give some credit to Paul Spaeth for his effort but I felt like this was not a recongizable composition. I think that Spaeth has a little more learning and growing to do before he makes another album. The reason I say this is because I dont believe that Spaeth right off the bat should of made an...

Oh, and you must get the collector's edition CD - it's autographed by Spaeth himself and absolutely worth it (only a penny more!! :) ). A wonderful talent; a gorgeous CD! Thank you so much for this gift...

I absolutely love this collection of songs. Spaeth is so incredibly gifted. The cd soothes me, energizes me, creates a magical journey of sound that uplifts my spirit. I have to listen to it many times each day. I highly recommend it to everyone. I find it hard to believe this young composer hasn't been signed to a major label. His music goes straight to my heart and soul. An amazing talent!

Celtic Legend is one of the most emotionally uplifting songs I have ever heard. I downloaded it through Amazon and quickly went back to see if there were any more of his songs available. I was so impressed by this young man's talent that I ordered the CD. Beautiful, relaxing, healing. Thank you Paul Spaeth for sharing your wonderful creations with us. You are blessed with a very special gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Keys to Success, July 25, 2002
This review is from: Cobalt Blue (Audio CD)
I know this is only one review... but I hope it sheds some light on this mysterious author of magical music. I've become a full-fledged "Paul Spaeth Fan" ever since finding his music on Amazon.com and listening to one of the songs on this CD. So I downloaded the others immediately, liked what I heard, and purchased it. I melt to this music, it's so beautiful. How anyone can't hear the emotion he puts behind that piano, I don't know.. But what I do know is I love it, and everyone else I know loves it, and as a huge fan it's just so great to see this artist gain the success and respect that he deserves. I encourage anyone to download all the songs here. If you like what you hear, these 4 downloads are a truthful window into the remainder of the CD. If you don't like what you hear, just don't purchase it! :) But either way, give it a try, open your heart and free your soul.

4.0 out of 5 stars MP3.com artist makes good..., May 21, 2002
This review is from: Cobalt Blue (Audio CD)
I found this artist's music quite a while back on MP3.com, and was impressed by the color of the orchestration and the cleanly described and lyrical moments contrasting with more rhythmic and ethereal sections. The music IS pleasant and relaxing with a serenity to many of the tracks. I would not say that the titanic theme appears multiple times, though I would characterize much of the music as being in a "film score" style. For such a young artist to have the grasp of orchestration and melody that Paul Spaeth obviously does is impressive to me. I doubt that this album will be in my top 10 "mood" albums, but it IS worth a listen, especially if you like evocative sound in a non-threatening harmonic realm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moving and simply wonderful..., May 22, 2002
This review is from: Cobalt Blue (Audio CD)
Amazing CD... I can't wait for more!!

I reeeeeeeally love the acoustic violin and cello (and flute!) on several of the tracks... it adds a touch of color to the warm piano throughout the CD (as do the touches of synthesizers/samplers). A really diverse sounding and "colorful" CD!

I would recommend this CD to anyone, and at any age. You can totally identify with the music no matter what genre you usually find yourself hunting in. Go for it... you won't be disappointed! (Plus you'll own a bit of history, no doubt! ;) )
