I just finished reading this book to my 2.5 year old daughter. She was entranced by all the drawings of tiny shoes, each completely different from the last, and is eager to learn the special ant dance described therein. The plot is a hilarious 'just-so' story, explaining how it was that ants came to be shoeless. A fun read for all generations involved!

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old neice. I stood in the bookstore laughing as I flipped through the pages. This is a great story with enough humor and illustration to make it a page turner.

Over the years children's books have become sleepers, but this one revives and entertains. Thank you to the author and illustrator for acknowledging that young people are thinking people and desire to be enchanted and entertained, just as much as adults.

I can't wait to see future work in children's literature from this author. Very well done!
