Cobra Command NES

This game is pretty awesome. An old favorite of mine. You can buy it for a penny but have to deal with the shipping, so, really, it's around $4. Not too shabby, but you may be better checking out your local classic game shops. The game consists of you flying level through level in a hi-tech helicopter. You are alone and the odds are against you. The mission level after level is to rescue hostages. Each mission includes underground fortresses that you have to destroy to rescue your comrades. Use your vulcan cannon and missiles to tear they asses up and stabilize the region.

During the game you will go to lovely hell holes from World War II like Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Siam, and other regions where suicide missions breed. You'll die a lot but then rip the crap out of it. The only thing you may not like is that you may find the game tedious. The levels always begin the same and have the same format, but the enemies change as well as the environments. It's just kind of a high tempo game (as high tempo as a helicopter game can be, perhaps not Ninja Gaiden high, but somewhere about there) that you may give up on. Worth checking out, though. Again, always been one of my favorite if not my favorite NES heli-games.
