GUYS, THIS PRODUCT REVIEWS IT SELF!
I MEAN C'MON IT'S A DANCING CAT. WHO IS HILARIOUS WHILE DANCING TO JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S 'SUIT AND TIE'. BUT IT GETS THUG ONCE YOU BUMP SOME WU-TANG.

MINOR SET BACK IS IT ONLY HAS ONE DANCING STYLE, AND THE PLASTIC MECHANICAL PIECE ON THE LEFT FOOT IS SLIGHTLY VISIBLE.
WARNING:
DO NOT MOVE THE ARMS WHILE THE CAT IS MOVING! IT'LL RESULT IN THE CAT FREEZING. IT SAYS SO ON THE BOX BUT I WAS JUST TO EXCITED TO USE BASIC LIFE SKILLS; READ FIRST, BATTERIES SECOND, PARTY THIRD.

OH AND SHIPPING WAS SUPER QUICK!

My newly college graduated daughter asked for a real dog for graduation. We got her an iPhone & new laptop, because she has a new job with low income and can't afford the moey or time for a dog. This dancing dog thrilled her and the disabled children she works with.

Ok this was a whimsy gift for older relative...adult but child at heart one. And they loved it and it was just so fun. We presented on a family picnic so out doors and connected to a Sandisk MP3 Player Fuse....and did it's wiggle, jiggle and get down boogie moves. Very cute. People say do not bend it's arms. On line on YouTube it said you could. On a site for Party Animals it said you could adjust the arms but so many people say no matter never grab it's arm when it's dancing...so we are a bit paranoid. It's made very cheap...love the contrast of words telling you how top quality the fur and the speaker is..no it's not folks. This is a whimsical item and it's not made super well. Wish it was...on the other hand it can delight. If it works that is. First Dancing Kitty arrived dead as a door nail...no music from speaker no wiggle or boogie. ZIP. So it went back but knowing the reviews saying sometimes this happens due to poor quality...we ordered a second. We told ourselves this would be the only second chance it got and it delivered. So WHEW. Do I recommend...no...but wouldn't say don't buy either. Why because it's over priced for it's lack of quality but it makes up for that when it works and fit the situation we wanted it for. So...right it's all up to you or your needs. We saw it on a TV commercial on mute and I went oh...that would be perfect for our relative. And went on line searching for dancing kitty and just like that found the very kitty as in the commercial lady sitting in a car...and viola was able to get it. Amazon had the best price but even Amazon had other sellers charging more. So do some searching first. The site on line said they were under 20 and you could get 25% off but I never went far enough to find out the cost of shipping. Also right after I did look into it there...Read more ›

Got this as a prize at a technical conference. It made my 5yr old and 2yr old smile and giggle to watch it. So that's worth something. My 8yr old and 12yr old were just slightly amuzed for a bit and then they tired of it.

The big problem is it doesn't have rhythm. It comes with 3 dancing styles, which all involve the upper body. The legs bend a little but stay put and don't go up and down. One of the styles has the cat quickly bending side-to-side. One shows kind of an S curve as he bends and goes up and down a little. The other is a more muted arm and shoulder wiggle. It switches between these styles and sometimes does them in reverse. But the movement does not seem to be synchronized with the beat of the music and that's what really disappoints. It tries. It does seem to read the tempo and slows or speeds up the movement, but the up/down and side-to-side doesn't match the beat. If they had designed the software embedded on the chip to read the audio wave form, decipher beat, and give the poor little thing a sense of rhythm, I think it would be a fantastic toy for young and old...but it doesn't.

Tech specs: Needs 3 AA batteries. I don't know how long they last in it because 10 minutes is as long as my kids stayed amuzed as we tried out a variety of songs. It does not come with an AC adapter. It does come with the 3.5mm audio patch cable to connect your music player with the hole on the left ankle. If you don't want to burn through batteries, it requires a 5-volt adapter (good luck finding that one) that puts out at least 1000mA, which plugs into the back of the left ankle. For both power sources, wait until the music is playing and then turn on the switch, which is unfortunately located under a velcro cover on the back instead of being easily accessible on the foot where the other gear plugs in. If you're tired of the dancing or want to give the little servos a rest, just squeeze the left paw and the dancing stops, becoming a cute, furry speaker.

The speaker worked okay, but it would not dance no matter what we tried. It said it would take weeks to return it but, it was a Christmas gift. I'm disappointed with the quality.

it moves back and forth and that is about it. I think it could have been designed a little better.

Just what I hoped it would be. It makes me laugh everytime I turn it on. Only good for a few minutes at a time, but a great novelty gift for someone who has everything. Wish it were wireless, though so I could move him away from sound source. It would be even better!

Fun, hilarious. Bought it as a gift, the person loves it! I would recommend this to the animal/cat lovers out there.
