Ours is used because the Cobra 75WX ST CB radio has a weak speaker. Works good but the talk-back feature doesn't seem to do anything. Unit looks very sturdy. The noise cancelling feature reduces background noise but also reduces total volume, we sometimes need to turn it off for weak signals. The speaker has a black double-wire cord and a red single-wire cord, identical plugs on the end and no instructions on what to use them for. I phoned Cobra and they said the black double wire is for normal speaker use, the red can be plugged into a PA amplifier.

The Cobra Cb speaker with talk back is a great product especially if your cb radio doesn't have a talk back feature on the radio. The black plug goes into the external speaker jack on the back of your radio and the red plug goes into the PA jack on the back of your radio. The talk back feature lets your hear your voice while transmitting and will assist you in setting your mic gain especially if you have a squeal. The talk back feature also assists you in setting your echo if your cb radio has an echo board in it. If you are running extra power through your radio you can use the talk back feature to assure your modulation sounds good. Cobra made this talk back speaker right and it works well for all of my radios. You can use the talk back speaker in your mobile or on your base. I highly recommend this product wether you are using a CB Radio or a Big Radio.The talk back speaker will not work if you are using a power mic.It works only with a dynamic mic.

I am very pleased with this cobra external speaker, it performed as advertized. It is of high quality material and workmanship. It looks good and works good with my 40 channel ssb cb radio. I especially like the talk back feature.

This speaker is great. I got it at a great price, and of course used the free super savings on shipping.
I have it on my Cobra 29ltd C.B. and is a great complement
with it.

This is a well built unit from what I can see. The only problem is that I did not recieve a manual or instruction sheet with the unit. I have a bunch of wires and plug-ins but have no clue as to what they do.
