The Cobra XRS9400 is a high-performance radar detector that detects five radar signals, four laser signals, and two safety systems!

I feel like I have already paid for this product from all the speeding tickets I could have received. This radar detector gives you enough time to slow down. If the cop car does not have on its radar, your radar will not go off. I have met a cop going 10 mph over limit, but he did not stop me. The only downfall to these lasers are they are very sensitive, so make sure you know what is a warning and what is not. You will be able to tell after using radar a couple of weeks. Also, if you are around department stores w/ motion sensor doors, I would recommend to turn radar off because it will absolutely drive you insane with its loud beats. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, and I actually bought this for my best friend because I had one and loved it.

Will detect radar long before squad car can be seen. I really like the voice alerts along with the usual beep alert.

Save your money for something that is ready for consumer use. This thing has several non-radar alert features that you cannot turn off. They go off constantly and will drive you nuts. One is supposed to be triggered by the approach of an emergency vehicle equipped with a strobe light. Nobody around here has them on the vehicles but the darn thing sounded constantly...even when I was the only car on the road for miles. While the regular radar and laser features seem to work as advertised, the false alarms from the non radar features will drive you to drink! I finally tossed this unit in the cylindrical file and bit the price bullet for a Beltronics Vector 955. Now THAT is a radar detector that does what it is supposed to do without causing me to tear out what little hair I have left!

This unit it getting fairly old now but people are still sell them. My biggest complaint is you cant turn off the emergency vehicle warning. Sometimes it goes off 5-6 times in one drive saying "emergency vehicle approaching" when there is nothing coming, sometime it goes off on back roads when there are no cars or even houses in sight. I think it does not detecting some newer radars as sometime I drive by radar speeds signs and it gives not warning.

The radar detector seems to work fine so far, but the voice is almost unintelligible, and is very annoying. I'm not sure if all of this model are like this of if I just got a bad one. It was pretty cheap though, so I guess it's OK.

Cheap and reliable, and easy to install. Frankly, I did not try more expensive models, but so far this model works just fine.

This little device works well when you know how to read the frequencie. i love the voice alert, but i wish it was a little louder, its a little hard to hear when you are listening to music. once again this thing does not detect cop cars! overall it works well for my personal needs.
